HOLI CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM ACROSS RAJ
Holi, the festival of colours was celebrated with fervour and joy across Rajasthan on Monday and Tuesday. On the occasion, Governor Kalraj Mishra extended his greetings and wished for the prosperity of the people of the State. Delegations of various organisations and common people met with CM Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur and wished him on the occasion. The CM too congratulated them. Foreigners celebrated Holi in Pushkar of Ajmer district on Tuesday and in Jaipur, where the tourism department organised an event after a gap of almost two years to mark the festival of colours. At the Holi event organised by the tourism department at Khasakothi, domestic and foreign tourists played with colours and ‘gulal’, and danced to the beats of traditional Rajasthani tunes.
Raj cops celebrate Holi

Jaipur: Policemen across the state celebrated Holi on Wednesday just a day after the festival is celebrated by the public. Special arrangements were made in Jaipur and Jodhpur Commissionerate on this occasion and cops with colourful faces and attires were seen dancing to the foot-tapping songs from Hindi films, private albums to Rajasthani songs. The festival of colours was also celebrated in the Police Stations of Jaipur. In Jaipur, DGP Umesh Mishra, Commissioner Anand Srivastava, Additional Commissioner Kailash Vishnoi, Kunwar Rashtradeep and DCPs of all four districts were also present in Reserve Police Lines during the celebration. Female police officers also participated in the Holi celebration.
Dr Raghu Sharma puts demand for new dists

Jaipur: After Harish Chaudhary, former minister of Gehlot government Dr Raghu Sharma has also come out in support of the demand for new districts.
Sharma said that the time has come to form new districts according to the geographical conditions and needs. He also reiterated the demand to make Kekri, his constituency in Ajmer district, a new district. He said that CM Gehlot should announce new districts in the assembly on March 17. The former minister also said that the Congress government will repeat in the next assembly. “If the party leaders fight the assembly elections together, we will definitely win,” he said.

Former and serving IAS officers reached the Chief Secretary Usha Sharma’s residence and exchanged greetings of Holi. Special lighting was also done on this occasion. Special arrangements were also made for parking during the program.

At the same time, the Congress leader also launched a scathing attack on BJP leaders. Talking to reporters at his residence here, Sharma cited the example of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana and UP in context of requirement of new districts.
“Many districts in the state are very big and Collector and SP are unable to visit the entire district. No new district has been formed since last 15 years,” he said.
Jaipur : Governor Kalraj Mishra has issued orders for the appointment of vice-chancellors to two universities in consultation with the state government. According to the official statement issued on Wednesday, Professor Ramesh Chandra has been appointed as Vice-chancellor of Maharaja Surajmal Brij University, Bharatpur while Professor Sheel Sindhu Pandey has been appointed as the ViceChancellor of Raj Rishi Bharthari Matsya University, Alwar.
The two Vice-chancellors have been appointed for a term of three years or till they attain the age of 70, whichever is earlier.
