Talking to the media at his residence, Poonia said that earlier the example of Bihar was given for maximum crimes but now Rajasthan is leading and has come under the category of disturbed states.
“Law and order has deteriorated in Rajasthan. Criminals, murderers and mafia rule is there in the state,” he said. Poonia said that the reason for increasing crime is the weakness of policing. He alleged that in Gehlot rule, an attempt has been made to influence the police through political interference and the mo- rale of the police force has been brought down.
“Out of four and a half years, two years were spent in the corona pandemic. Corona acted as a lifeline for the Congress. There was anger among the people in the beginning of the rule. After Thanagaji incident, the law and order situation deteriorated,” he said. The BJP leader said that paper leak and unemployment were two major questions before the govt. On CM’s allegations on Union Min GS Shekhawat, Poonia said that such statements are unforgivable.
“The insecurity of the chair has upset Gehlot so much that he talks like this,” he said.
