Nagaur: The daughter of Union Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani and Zubin Irani, Shanelle was married to Arjun Bhalla on Friday at the famous Khimsar Fort hotel in Nagaur district. The wedding functions began on Thursday at heritage property, a 15th-century fort converted to a hotel, in the presence of close family members and friends. The fort was beautifully decorated with kites and other items. Haldi and Mehndi rituals took place on Wednesday, a day before the wedding. After this, in the evening, a musical night program on sand dunes. Performances by Rajasthani folk artists were also given, sources said.

Pilot writes to PM for ‘nat’l’ status to ERCP

Jaipur: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Dausa, former deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Congress leader Sachin Pilot has written a letter to the PM urging him to declare the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) as the national project.

“I have come to know that your programme is proposed on 12th February, 2023 in Dausa. In such a situation, the resi- dents of the state including me expect you to declare the ERCP as a national project so that there can be a permanent solution to the drinking and irrigation water problems in 13 districts,” he said in the letter written on Thursday.
