Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday approved the proposal to extend the term of the high level committee constituted to give suggestions to the State government regarding new district formation in State for the next six months. With this, area leaders and people will have to wait to see their dreams and hopes of getting new districts and divisions fulfilled.
Delegations demanding new districts are continuously meeting CM Gehlot and State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra. The demand for creation of 3 divisions and about 10 new districts is under serious discussion. Proposals have come to the Ramlubhaya Committee for the demand of making districts from 60 places. The committee is soon going to submit its report to govt. The Committee’s tenure to end on March 13. There is indication of Sikar being declared a division.
