New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday said it has seized “unaccounted cash” of `1 crore and detected proceeds of crime worth `600 crore after it raided RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in connection with a money laundering case linked to railways land for job ‘scam’ linked money laundering case. In a statement on Saturday, the ED said, “Searches resulted in the recovery of unaccounted cash of `1 crore, foreign currency including USD 1,900, 540 gms gold bullion and more than 1.5 kg of gold jewellery worth about `1.25 crore.”
The ED team conducted searches at 24 locations on Saturday.

Yadav was earlier summoned by CBI on March 4 but he had not appeared. “Tejashwi won’t appear before CBI due to his wife’s health. After ED raid, she was hospitalised on Friday in Delhi. Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial proposal of Rs 14,200 crore for the construction of ERCP, officials said on Saturday. ERCP was envisaged by previous BJP govt to solve problem of irrigation and drinking water in 13 districts of eastern Rajasthan. With the approval, NavneraBelwa-Bisalpur-Israda on Saturday.
