Work on golf courses, eco-adventure, MICE centres will boost tourism in State: Rathore

Jaipur: Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation President Dharmendra Rathore said on Thursday that the RTDC management is working on a war footing towards the implementation of budget announcements related to tourism development.

Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) Chairman Dharmendra Rathore while presiding over the meeting of RTDC Management at the office located at Paryatan Bhawan said that special tourism services are being made available to the tourists while continuously expanding the tourism facilities in the state.
The RTDC chairman said that in compliance with the announcement of construction of Dhola Maru Tourist Complex for the promotion of tourism, the work of marking the land has been completed and the department has prepared the DPR for the development of the complex. Rathore said that to promote golf tourism in the State, EOI has been issued by RTDC for golf courses to be built in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer-Pushkar, Mount Abu and Alwar in the budget of 2023-24. Another EOI was also issued for setting up MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) centres in Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer.

Covid threat looms large as State reports 293 new cases, 3 deaths
First India Bureau Jaipur: COVID-19 infections are on rise again, with Rajasthan recording 293 new cases and three new deaths on Thursday. It is for the second consecutive day that more than 200 people were found infected with Covid-19. A total of 6,459 people underwent a test on Thursday, of which, 293 people were found positive. Now, the total number of active patients has increased to 1474 in the state. The maximum number of coronavirusinfected people were from Jaipur with 121. Jodhpur reported 27 cases, Sikar, 24; Chittorgarh and Udaipur, 17 each; Bikaner, 18; and 10 people were found positive in Alwar. The positivity rate remained at 4.54 per cent.

Marriage in old age: Dotasra takes jibe at Rathore at Sikar event

Sikar: PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra on Thursday commented on Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and said that Rathore had got married in his old age.
“Rajendra Rathore’s political senility also improved in the last eight months. Although, he says that he will remain a worker and then why did he become the leader of the opposition,” said Govind Singh Dotasra. Dotasra was speaking at the felicitation ceremony of the representatives of the district in Sikar on Thursday. The function was organised by the Advocates Association after Sikar was declared a division while Neem Ka Thana was declared a district.
