Jaipur: The two-day ‘Rajasthan Millets Conclave - 2023’ organised by the Agriculture Marketing Department at the State Institute of Agricultural Management in Durgapura concluded on Tuesday.
The chief guest of the concluding ceremony was the Minister of Rajasthan Agriculture Marketing, Murari Lal Meena.
During his address, Murari Lal Meena said that the production and consumption of millet should be increased.
“With the help of the Indian Institute of Millet Research, a millet centre will be set up at
Gudamalani in Barmer. For this, the state government will provide 40 hectares of land. Millet-based food will also be available in the mandi premises under the Kisan Kaleva Yojana. Along with this, a millet Venture Start-Up Fund will also be set up,” said Meena. treatment. Kota (PTI): An 18-yearold NEET aspirant from Bihar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her hostel room here on Tuesday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Shembul Parveen, they said. She came to Kota from West Champaran in Bihar in June last year and enrolled herself in a coaching institute for NEET preparations, they said.
The police is yet to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step as no suicide note was recovered from her room, however, her parents claimed that the girl was upset over scoring low marks in tests, police said. The teen’s parents were in Kota for the last couple of days to find her a new hostel as she had complained about the food being served there, they said.

Independent Councillor Dies By Suicide In Ajmer
Ajmer: Bhagchand Phulwari, a resident of Fatehpuria city and independent councilor of Ward No. 33 of the city council, ended his life by hanging himself on Tuesday. As soon as the relatives got the information, they informed the city police about it. After getting the information, police reached the spot and took the body in their possession, and kept it in the mortuary of Govt Amritkaur Hospital. On hearing the news of the death of corporator Phulwari, BJP corporators Mangat Singh Monu, Hansraj Sharma, Virendra Singh Rathore, and many other public representatives reached AKH Mortuary.

Jaipur: A case of abduction and rape of a minor girl has come to light in the city. The accused raped her after taking her hostage in a flat for two days and then fled looting the jewellery and cash worth lakhs. The victim’s father has lodged a report at the Jhotwara police station. The police have started the investigation by registering a report under the POCSO Act. As per the police report, the accused kidnapped and raped his 15-year-old daughter. The minor daughter had met the accused some time back. During the conversation, the accused trapped his minor daughter into a love affair, the complaint said.
