Dholpur: Police nabbed notorious bandit Keshav Gurjar on Monday after an encounter. Keshav was injured due to a bullet injury in his right leg. His 2 other accomplices escaped from the Dang area.

HC seeks reply over division of ex-servicemen into caste

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has sought a response from the state government and others in 4 weeks in a case related to the division of ex-servicemen into caste and class.
Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Shubha Mehta issued notices. The state government had on December 7, 2022, issued the notification which was challenged in the high court by Bharatpur’s Dharmendra Singh, Sushil Swami, and others. POCSO court sentences rapist to 20 years in jail

Sikar: A POCSO court in Sikar has awarded 20 years of rigorous imprisonment to a man for raping a girl. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5.15 lakh. After the incident, the victim delivered a baby girl. 5 lakh of the compensation amount will be given to the baby girl while Rs 15000 will be given to the victim.
The court gave RI of 20 years to Shimbhu Ram, a resident of Jaitpura. The court also found a lapse in the investigation of the case and wrote a letter to DGP for taking action against 3 police officers- the then SHO Lal Singh, ASI Prabhu Dayal Meena, and SI Jai Singh.

The fight was triggered around 3 am Sunday when the group raised some slogans inside the dargah, an act which was objected to by the khadims, Dargah Police Station SHO Amar Singh said. Ajmer: On the occasion of the 811th Urs of Khwaja Garib Nawaz, 240 pilgrims from the neighbouring country Pakistan reached Ajmer. Pakistani pilgrims paid their attendance together at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) on Monday. The pilgrims gathered at the Central School located in Naya Bazar and reached the dargah of Khwaja Garib Nawaz by walk. The pilgrims were brought together to the dargah amid tight security. After reaching the dargah, the pilgrims offered flowers and a velvet chadar of devotion on the grave of Khwaja Garib Nawaz.
Youth kills brother over minor issue

Baran: A youth attacked his elder brother over a minor argument, which resulted in the death of the latter. The incident took place in the Bamori village of the Sarthal area in the district.

First India Bureau Jaipur: The Jaipur police on Monday arrested 3 persons in connection with firing outside a club in the Jawahar Circle police station area late on Saturday.
The accused has fired 18 rounds indiscriminately and ran away on the bike. Hrithik Boxer, a member of the Lawrence Vishnoi gang, has taken responsibility for the firing in his Facebook post. The post also mentioned that everyone’s number will come. According to the police, the miscreants came around one o’clock late in the night and fired. This created panic among the people outside the club. Employees working in the club informed the police. Police officers reached the spot and blocked the area but the miscreants could not be nabbed.

Monday, 32 plots in Shastri Nagar Residential Scheme are being auctioned at the auction site in the presence of Executive Officer Mahima Dangi, Vice President Jitendra Jain Chanwaria, Senior councillor Om Prakash Gupta and all the councillors of the municipality. A lot of enthusiasm among the bidders regarding the auction was witnessed.
Jodhpur: The G-20 Summit will be held from February 2 to 4 in Jodhpur in which many foreign guests would come to Jodhpur. The entire Jodhpur has been decked up and preparations of all the departments, including the district administration, have been completed.
Two thousand policemen will be deployed across the city.
