The posts of “Director” in power companies are vacant for a long time and the posting of officers is awaited on more than half a dozen technical posts. Vacant posts include Director Technical-Operation in Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, Director Project-Technical in Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, and
Director Power Trading in Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam. Apart from this, the post of Director Technical is also vacant in all three Discoms. In the Utpadan Nigams, the posts from CMD to Di- rectors are vacant. Due to the vacancy of key posts in the midst of the energy crisis, problems abound in departments as analysis of information and monitoring of fieldwork is getting suffered. The Energy Department has sent detailed information on vacant posts to “High-level” but the question is, when the work will be conducted on the basis of vacant posts?
