Three Held For Vehicle Thefts In Palghar District
Palghar: Three persons were arrested with stolen vehicles worth more than Rs5.8 lakh Palghar district, police said on Tuesday. Following reports of two-wheeler thefts, the police increased vigilance. On Saturday, police arrested three suspects and recovered stolen vehicles from them, said Senior Inspector Pramod Badakh. At least seven motorcycles and two autorickshaws have been recovered so far, official said.
WORK ON CITY’S COASTAL ROAD ENDING SOON
Mumbai: The boring of the Coastal Road’s second tunnel is in the final stage and is expected to be completed by March 2023. The tunnel boring machine (TBM) has already been lowered from the worksite near Priyadarshini Park and is expected to emerge near Girgaum Chowpatty by March 2022. Construction of utility boxes, road surfacing, cross-passageways, and fire-fighting systems is currently underway.

Latur: To boost the quality of education being imparted, at least 252 zilla parishad (ZP) schools in Latur will be developed under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme, an official said on Tuesday.
The district nodal committee shortlisted these 252 schools after collecting and studying information from a total of 349 in the zilla parishad schools, education officer (primary section) Vandana Phutane said.
Under the scheme, the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) will be implemented in the selected schools, each of which will receive `1.88 crore for five yrs.
