Army’s ‘Operation Dost’ is saving lives, winning hearts

New Delhi (ANI): Under Operation Dost, India sent 841 cartons of medicines, protection safety tools, and diagnostics to quake-hit Turkey and Syria, according to official sources on Friday.

The official sources told ANI that India had dispatched 841 cartons of medicine, protection safety tools, and diagnostics with a weight of 6.19 tons have been sent to Turkey and Syria.

NEW-BORN AND MOTHER SAVED AFTER FOUR DAYS IN RUBBLE

New Delhi: A new-born baby and his mother have been rescued from rubble in Turkey, around 90 hours after the first of Monday’s deadly earthquakes. The 10-day-old boy, named Yagiz, was retrieved from a ruined structure in the southern Hatay province. Footage showed the child being carefully taken out overnighta sight described by local media as miraculous. Hopes of finding many more survivors are diminishing, amid freezing-cold weather four days after the disaster.
