Dubey issued a notice to Gandhi for making baseless allegations (against PM). What they say has to be supported with evidence but they haven’t produced any. We all are answerable to the people of this country. This time action will be taken on this notice.” On February 8, Dubey sent a letter to LS Speaker Om Birla, saying that Rahul’s statements were misleading, derogatory, indecent, unparliamentary, undignified and incriminatory in nature to the dignity of the House and the PM.

MEETING OF LIKE-MINDED OPPOSITION PARTIES HELD AT KHARGE’S CHAMBER

New Delhi (ANI): Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a meeting of like-minded Opposition parties to devise a joint strategy for the day’s proceedings. Earlier in day, Kharge said, “Since today is the last day (of first part of Budget session) in Parliament, we will discuss how we can resolve this Adani issue and what will our Chairman be doing. We will also seek the opinion of other parties.” The Upper House witnessed ruckus after parts of Kharge’s speech claiming that the House was acting under pressure from the govt were expunged.

Demolition drive in Mehrauli continues

New Delhi (PTI): An “anti-encroachment drive” in the Mehrauli Archaeological Park area went on for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, with Delhi Development Authority and police personnel facing protests from many local residents during the exercise. The drive started on Friday and comes a month ahead of a proposed G20 meeting at the park in South Delhi that, according to the DDA, has about 55 monuments under the protection of the archaeological Survey of India, state archeological department and the authority. The demolition drive continued today and action was taken in the area located near the Bhool Bhulaiyaa monument.

New Delhi: The demand for the creation of Bundelkhand state by separating its districts from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh is decades old. BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel again demanded the formation of a separate Bundelkhand state in the Lok Sabha on Monday.

Oppn Protests In Ls After Several Adjournment Motions Rejected

New Delhi: Opposition members on Monday objected before Speaker Om Birla in Lok Sabha, after their adjournment motions on the appointment of former Supreme Court judge S Abdul Nazeer as Governor and Chinese incursions in Indian territory were rejected. As soon as Question Hour ended, Trinamool Congress member Sougata Ray got up to say that he had given an adjournment motion on Justice Nazeer’s appointment as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
