Blogger is a Google service, so you will need a Google account. 2. Name your blog and choose its URL (web address).

You should name the blog DSDN142: Your Name and make the address something similar, for example dsdn142yourname.blogspot.com. Click Continue. 3. Choose a template for how your blog will look. By default, the Simple template will be selected, which is a good choice. Click Continue. 4. Success!

Now you can post on your blog, or customise its appearance. For the purposes of this tutorial, click Start Posting. This will take you to the admin view for your blog, where there are many options.

5. Click Back to Blogger to exit the template designer.

TIPS FOR A GREAT CREATIVE CODING BLOG Here are some things to keep in mind about posting on your DSDN142 blog. 1. Post early and often. It’s a lot harder to go back later and try to remember what process you went through to get to your final designs. 2. Post your inspirations and precedents. We want to see evidence of your own research, and learn about the sort of designs that drive you. 3. Post your experiments, successes and failures. When you have a breakthrough, when you tried modifying some code that mangled your design horribly, when you made something weird and interesting but decided against continuing with it for design reasons, we want to see all of this. 4. Show critical thinking and analysis. Write about why you like your precedent images, what your reasons were for changing your design, or what could be improved in your work-inprogress. 5. Be succinct and to the point. You don’t need to write essays for every post.
