PROJECT 1: INTERACTIVE OBJECTS DSDN112 INTRO TO INTERACTION DESIGN COORDINATOR: ANGELA BLACHNITZKY

TASK In this project you are asked to design an interactive object, that is providing a unique experience for one of the five senses: see, hear, smell, touch, taste. You are strongly encouraged to use simple materials such as paper, cardboard, toothpicks, rubber band, string, pins and paper clips.

HAND-IN REQUIREMENTS: th

Part A: Project proposal (10%), due 25 July (beginning of lecture) 1. One detailed and self-explanatory storyboard, A3 on paper plus scan (on blog and R-drive). 2. Written description (200 words) of what you plan to do, how you are going to do it, what type of experience should the user get and why is it going to be exciting for the user (on blog and R-drive). 3. Online blog showing your reflections and development. Part B: Final interactive objet (20%), due 12th August (beginning of tutorial) 1. The interactive object 2. Written description (200 words) of your object and user experience (on blog and R-drive). 3. Online blog showing your reflections and development. 4. Images: five high-resolution (300 dpi min) photographs of your interactive object in action (on blog and R-drive).
