THE FARMING RECOVERY FUND:

Restoring flood-affected farmland

Contact us to understand how the fund may be available to you The government have opened The Farming Recovery Fund (the Fund) to provide money to help farmers whose land has been damaged by the impact of flooding in 2019. The fund will go towards the costs of reinstating and repairing the affected agricultural land.

Minimum grant available is £500 Maximum grant available is £25,000 The fund can be claimed for standard capital items such as: • Fencing materials & gates • Livestock troughs • Stone wall restoration. The fund will also cover the cost of: • Cultivation operations (inc. grass seed and cover crop seed) • Restoring field access/tracks. • Restoring open agricultural drains.

The fund will not cover the following: • Insured losses or items that insurance should normally cover, including buildings and equipment. • Any items for which you have already sought funding from another source. • Own labour costs including the labour of people employed by you. • The cost of annual agricultural cash crop seeds or plants. • Livestock of any type.

The eligible areas for the Fund are: • South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire: The flooding of low lying agricultural land by overtopping of rivers and the breaches on Barlings Eau, Dorrington and Timberland Delph watercourses on 7th and 8th November 2019 within the Internal Drainage Board areas of Ancholme, Scunthorpe and Gainsborough, Witham Third, Upper Witham, Trent Valley and Danvm. • Derbyshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire: The flooding of agricultural land by overtopping of flood defences on the Derbyshire Derwent and Dove and the Avon in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, downstream from Evesham. The application does require some photographic and mapping evidence alongside quotes for the capital items that are claimed for.
