here is nothing like a serious fish auction to make a fish fanatic happy, and we’re going to make a lot of New England fish people REALLY happy on the 26th. We had our best auction last spring, and the autumn event is shaping up to be even better. We’ve got contributions from Dave’s Rare Fish, Geiler Aquatics, Imperial Fish Farms, Atlantis Tropical Fish Hatchery, The Wonder of Cichlids, among others. Quite a few NECA members are bringing cichlids, and there will be plenty of catfish, plecos, guppies, killifish and livebearers of all kinds. There will be a lot of great fish, including new and used equipment, fish food and water treatment products, available to the highest bidder. The first 100 people to sign in will receive one free 50 ml bottle of Nualgi Aquarium, a tank treatment product that retails for $18 per bottle. This is a 15 week supply for a 55 gallon tank, and comes to us from Nualgi Aquarium Pet Supplies. http://nualgiaquarium.com/ And just to review the rules, which are heavily weighted to the sellers! There is a maximum of 3 lots of the same species, a minimum of 1 inch for fry, NECA keeps $3.00 per bag, and the seller can ‘bump’ an item for $2.00. Get there early so you can get a really good look at the selection, while getting your own fish positioned well for the auction itself. Look over the photos I’ve included, because you’ll see some of each species on Sunday, and more. See you all at The Polish American Club next Sunday. Peter George
