The Benefits of Transitioning at 11+
Deciding a primary school for your child is an important decision and for those opting to pursue the independent sector, there are now varying options as to whether to sit your child for 3+, 4+, 7+ or 11+. In some areas, even 5+ and 6+ options are available.
Whilst transitioning early into a ‘through’ school may appear to alleviate the pressure of sitting 11+ examinations, there are a number of reasons why this is not necessarily true. There are also strong arguments to support remaining in a primary school up until the point of 11+ – a familiar environment, pupil knowledge and the potential to flourish.
Firstly, remaining in a through primary school provides children with a familiar and consistent environment. This safe and nurturing environment helps children to develop positive connections both with adults in the school and with their peers. It is these connections that develop and change as the child’s character and personality grows. For some children, these connections can be established quickly, whilst for others a longer duration is needed. By providing children with a familiar environment, we are able to encourage pupils to develop these connections at their own pace, whilst also providing a foundation for developing their own academic progress.
Developmentally, certain skillsets do not start to develop until post 7+ and therefore the ages of 7-11 years are still key in gaining an understanding of the areas that a pupil may thrive.
In addition to this, pupils in Years 5 & 6 experience both physical and emotional changes. They are starting to mature and become more independent and socially aware. Year 6 becomes a natural time of change for a child and the 11+ transition, a time at which a potential ‘fresh start’ is both welcomed and needed.
Finally, the aim of all education is to help an individual grow, develop and flourish. With the establishment of strong connections and a deep understanding of the pupils, the support and provision for the individual can also develop. By focusing on the individual development both inside and outside of the classroom with engagement via our 360-degree curriculum, pupils are given opportunities to learn more about how they feel, who they are and where they belong. This in turn encourages them to be a balanced and well-rounded individual, ready to flourish as they embark upon their next academic journey.
By the age of 10/11 years, not only have we, as teachers, gained a deep understanding of each pupil, but the children themselves are also more self-aware and understanding as to what they like and dislike.

How to Seize the Sunshine
Tired of the uncertainty that comes with planning a UK holiday a year in advance, only to be disappointed by unpredictable weather? The stress of airport delays and last-minute changes to your plans putting a damper on your much-needed time off? It’s time to consider a game-changing alternative: motorhoming.
The weather makes investing in a UK holiday tricky - booking up to a year in advance, with no idea what the weather will be like when the time comes, could end disappointingly.
Two weeks on the beach overseas are great but airport delays were the topic of last summer and what’s a holiday with the stress of plans changing last minute beyond your control? Plus, we love the UK: The British coastline, our cities, lakes and mountains, and sometimes even the weather. We love the comfort of being in our home country where we can take the dog, eat brilliant food, make new friends and meet old ones.
That’s where motorhoming comes in, and an ever-growing number of Brits are discovering the freedom of the open road as they wave goodbye to weather-woes and airport-anguish. They
don’t need to pack because everything is ready. They can seize the sunshine at a moment’s notice and follow wherever it goes. They can avoid fluctuating costs, airport delays, end-of-holiday stress and pre-holiday money-saving.
While certainly an initial investment, motorhomes have some good finance options and could accommodate your holidays for years to come. The joy and comfort of being in your own space wherever you go has its perks too – no more trawling the net for a 5-star hotel when it’s already sitting on your driveway, ready to go!
With a motorhome, there’s no need to wait a year for your next holiday, with your fingers crossed for sunshine. Whenever the forecast is good, the open road is yours for the taking.

Life is full of Ups & Downs
So make sure you’re legally protected
We’re lucky to live in a country where there are many legal protections in place to ensure our rights are respected. However, legislative change is a slow process, meaning that it rarely keeps up with the pace of societal change. For example, intestacy law (which applies when you die without a Will), makes little to no provision for unmarried partners, stepchildren or anything that falls outside of the traditional nuclear family.
That means it is up to us to put our own protections in place to ensure we are safeguarded from whatever life may throw at us.
To help you along, Attwaters Jameson Hill have developed a legal checklist to help you consider some of the key legal documents you should have on hand to give you and your loved ones every advantage in life.
Your legal protection checklist
Drafting your Will
• Have a Will professionally drafted in the presence of a solicitor
• Have your Will redrafted by a solicitor as and when your circumstances change
Ensuring your wishes are respected
• Set up a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
• Make a living Will
• Record your wishes in an advance statement
Protecting your interests
• Draft a pre-nuptial agreement with your solicitor
• Sign a declaration of trust for your property
• Think about a cohabitation agreement
Keeping your assets safe for future generations
• Explore the tax planning opportunities available to you
• Consider a trust to hold your assets
Safeguarding your business for the future
• Plan for succession
• Review your contracts and documentation
Take care of everything under one roof
At Attwaters Jameson Hill, our multidisciplinary team is here to help you take care of all your legal protection needs in one convenient place. We will proactively explore with you all the legal protections that may be appropriate for you and your family, with the ultimate aim of ensuring you are protected against whatever life may bring.

Top spring trends
From fabulous florals to marvellous metallics, this is how to style the runway looks, says Sam Wylie-Harris.
When we flick through fashion shows, it’s with great excitement and anticipation… moreover, how these costume dramas will be reimagined into wearable, must-have items that we can’t wait to slip into.
And with firm favourites enjoying a bijou update and sexy separates coming into play, here’s what we’re looking forward to wearing when these key looks land in-store…
SHORT SHORTS
The warmer months are all about baring more, and for the spring/summer season, the mini has been pushed aside in favour of the micro short. That’s right, it’s time to get your pins out. From Paris to Milan, models strutted down the catwalk in the shortest of shorts. Nina Ricci perfected the look with fishnet tights, setting the tone for sexy but sophisticated; while Max Mara paired them with silk shirts, oversized canvas jackets and strappy heels. Either way, stylish neutrals, snakeskin prints and clean tailoring signals spring chic.
HIGH WAISTED
Sure to be a big hit, high-waisted trousers are universally flattering, and if you’re after a few more inches, they lengthen the leg. The key is to choose the highest style that’s right for you. As seen at Aadnevik, Rokh, Ralph Lauren and Emporio Armani, wear with a cropped top, tailored jacket – or, as a twist on an old favourite, a bandeau top with bare midriff to show off your waist.
WHITE DRESS
If there’s one thing we love, it’s the wanderlust, dreamy vibe that puts us in a sunny mood when we don a white maxi dress. Designers including Michael Kors, Stella McCartney, Valentino and Susan Fang embraced the allure of broderie anglaise and ruffles for a breezy, fresh take on fashion’s most romantic silhouette. Add a casual edge to your diaphanous dress by wearing it with T-bar flat sandals, or white platform trainers.
CRAFT
Bridging the gap between boho and artisan, the
craft trend channels crochet, fringes, tassels and embellishment… in a word, craftwork. As seen at Bottega Veneta, with giant pom poms adorning crochet dresses; laser-cut florals at Valentino, and twisted strands and fancified fringing at Asai. By the time the high street embraces these eclectic creations, you can look forward to toned down, tactile pieces with movement – and a good measure of artfully placed decor.
FLORALS
Flower power and plush posies were speaking volumes on the runway with petal prints, petalshaped curves and all matter of flora flourishing in the new collections. Highlights included Burberry, Paul Costelloe and Rodarte. The latter, in their ready-to-wear collection, teamed a silk, floralpatterned, bias-cut slip dress with a floor-length, pink silk cape… stunning. Whether you go dress and cape combo – perfect for glamorous garden parties – or fancy florals with a focus on feeling feminine, it’s a perennial staple.
TRANSPARENT SKIRT
There are lots of ways to make this new addition to your wardrobe work for you. Whereas models at Erdem, Jayne Pierson and Louis Vuitton waltzed down the runway with their undies on show, it’s
possible to tweak this sheer skirt trend with bigger briefs – aka high-waisted hot pants; or footless opaque tights. But if you do dare to bare, think co-ordinating knickers in the same colour, with lace trims, embellishments or showy sequins… designed to be seen.
METALLICS
Be it a slither of silver, or full-on crystals, this is your summer to shine… But just in case you’re having a feeling of déjà vu, silver sirens have been shimmering down the runway for the past couple of seasons. Alexander McQueen, Schiaparelli, Courrèges and Roksanda – to name a few – are still showing the love to lamé and metallics… and so are we. Furthermore, whereas some looks encourage you to play it safe with accessories, more is more with metallics. Which is great news if you fancy a pair of eye-catching silver kitten heels – the shoe for S/S24 – to rock with your silver trousers. Or, a slick silver handbag to team with a dazzling silver dress when you’re going out out. Either way, silver is the standout performer on our wish list.
Kate Moss’s wellbeing secrets as she turns
Supermodel and all-round British national treasure, Kate Moss, recently celebrated her 50th birthday. By Yolanthe Fawehinmi
“I’m not turning 50,” Moss, who rose to fame in the Nineties, said in a recent interview with the Sunday Times. “No. I’m not thinking about it. I do not feel 50.”
It’s hard to belive she’s marking such a milestone, but the Croydon-born, mum-of-one has swapped catwalks and London parties for a more holistic life in Oxfordshire. So how does she look after herself? Here are her wellbeing secrets through the years.
Morning tea and meditation
“I don’t look back. I’ve reflected a lot on the past but now I like to be present, live in the now. I’m being present in the moment, seeing things, being mindful,” she says on her skincare and wellness website Cosmoss, where she also sells her infamous Dawn Tea, her drink of choice for first thing in a morning.
The tea includes hibiscus flowers, crushed bay leaves and ginger roots, designed to help energise the body, strengthen skin, hair and nails and maintain immunity.
“I find taking these few moments to myself really helps me prepare for my day,” she told Porter Magazine.
Though it took her some time to find the type of meditation that works best, she now practices transcendental meditation for 10-15 minutes, where she repeats a personalised mantra. She has said that it helps to build the discipline to stop and be “in herself”.
Manifesting and daily affirmations
Spending a lot of time in the make-up chair throughout her modelling career means that
fashion’s former wild child has learned plenty from the best MUAs in the industry.
Moss says it was Charlotte Tilbury who taught her about manifesting and affirming herself.
“If you believe enough, the universe will deliver,” Moss said in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar.
The wellness entrepreneur also created Love Letters for Cosmoss – a set of 150 daily affirmation cards curated by Moss and contributors from fashion, philosophy and the arts – in order to support, share and inspire.
Crystal charging
Moss, who has appeared on the cover of British Vogue over 40 times, also keeps healing crystals, which she charges under the moonlight.
“I put all my crystals on a tray and put them outside in the garden,” the model said during her Sunday Times interview. “Just cleansing the crystals, charging the crystals.”
Her favourites include rose quartz, which represents compassion and love, and melonite, which is meant to channel protective and grounding properties.
“If you believe enough, the universe will deliver,” Moss said in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar
Wild swimming
It seems Moss, who has been the face of Calvin Klein and Chanel, has taken her bucolic lifestyle to another level.
Since moving to Little Faringdon in West Oxfordshire, where she is surrounded by outdoor space, she has taken up wild swimming and growing her own vegetables.
Moss goes wild swimming “in a secret place, in the middle of lots of fields and only the villagers are allowed to use it”, according to the Sunday Times, which has many surprising health benefits, such as improving blood pressure and fat levels in the blood.
BRILLIANT BEAUTY BUYS TO ELEVATE YOUR SELF- CARE
Because a little indulgence goes a long way, says Sam WylieHarris.
If you’re wanting to up your beauty game, you’re not alone. Especially if you’re looking for an escape from the everyday –the balancing act of work and play, while trying to look and feel your best. Here, experts share their top tips to boost your self-care rituals…
Skincare with benefits
“Skincare is an essential part of my self-care routine,” says Leanna Zaman, beauty specialist at Boots. “It gives me a moment to pause for self-reflection after a busy day whilst my skin soaks up the benefits.” “If you don’t already have a conscious routine, try dedicating 10 minutes both morning and evening to prep your skin and reconnect with yourself,” suggests Zaman. “Your regime doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective – spend a few extra minutes massaging your moisturiser in,” advises Zaman. “Your skin will thank you, too.” Dr Mary Sommerlad, consultant dermatologist and Vichy Laboratories spokesperson agrees: “For a fresher skin appearance, I strongly recommend being consistent with an effective, evidence-based skincare routine.” She also suggests adding in a hydrating serum to plump the appearance of skin and boost radiance. Sommerlad says to then follow on with a moisturiser of choice targeted to your skincare concerns.
Wellbeing aromas
Don’t forget to consider body care as well as skincare, advises Zaman. “We’re seeing more consumers hack their dopamine levels by elevating
their everyday beauty basics with moodboosting scents, textures and colours too.” She suggests trying scented body butter and lotions with uplifting aromas. “Fragrance is a key part of experiencing a product as it can transport us to another place, time or mindset.”
Shower and bath care
“Try switching up your daily routine in small ways to incorporate more wellbeing practices into your week,” suggests Zaman. “For example, simply swapping a morning shower for an indulgent evening bath adds another precious moment of self-care and renewal.” She says embracing aromatherapy stalwarts like essential oils can help you restore and relax too, transforming your daily soak into a relaxing ritual and spa-like experience. “I’m also a great believer in every time we have a bath, it’s an opportunity to make it a mini-spa moment!” enthuses Chrissie Rucker OBE, founder of The White Company. “At the end of a hectic day, you can’t beat a good relaxing soak, even if it’s only for 10 minutes. Light a favourite scented candle, pour in a lovely bath soak, dim the lights and relax.” She continues. “And then some time massaging in a deeply nourishing body lotion will also leave skin glowing before wrapping yourself in a snuggly robe.” Zaman agrees: “Incorporating scented candles into your night-time routine can also help create a tranquil atmosphere, calm your mind and promote rest.” She’s a fan of candles infused with sleep-inducing notes of lavender and soothing eucalyptus. “It’s a scent I associate with rest, so it helps me unwind for a perfect night’s sleep.“These simple sensorial experiences can help you to reframe your mindset, whether you want to uplift or wind down after a long day,” adds Zaman.

Wearable Works Of Art
India, England, Italy. It reads like a bucket list but in fact, this is the origin story of emerging brand, Shaku. Based in London, Shaku charts an extraordinary story of craftsmanship and skill through the eyes of founder and designer, Shakera Tayub.
Born in Mumbai, India, Shakera, her nickname was ‘Shaku’, comes from a long line of skilled tailors and needlewomen, where embroidery and dressmaking were not just passions but indispensable livelihoods. Supporting her mother and aunt, young Shakera would visit the dazzling textile markets and learn how to differentiate quality and skill in materials, dyes, and craft. Surrounded by colour, each shade of tulle, pigment and spice informed a growing palette of rich vibrant colour that echoes today through every Shaku design.
form the basis of her collection of luxury scarves, quite literally wearable works of art. Pairing such exquisite design with exquisite craftsmanship and materials was not just necessary, but the only way for Shakera to stay true to her personal values of conscious quality and respect for her art.
Sent to England when just 19, Shakera discovered the beauty of the verdant hills and meadows littered with wildflowers sparkling in the sun. From curly tipped peonies and gloriously vibrant dahlias in her garden, to lavender bushes buzzing with bees in peak summer, a glorious inspiration was at her fingertips. Notebook in hand, Shakera recreated this lush idyll in pencil, pen and paint.
Bold and beautiful, Shakera’s drawings bring the opulent colours of the exotic Indian peninsular in intricately detailed floral masterpieces. Such designs
In northern Italy, Shakera discovered the exceptional craftsmanship she yearned for to help bring her art to life. Within seconds of meeting, it was clear that Shakera’s knowledge and love of craft had found a home. Renowned for the silk craft, and centuries old print and weaving traditions, a prestigious manufacturer from the ‘City of Silk’ Como helps Shakera pair her designs with their perfect match. Perhaps the most remarkable element of this all is that a manufacturer who only works with the most luxurious fashion houses found in Shakera, the belief that her design and her know-how was worthy of their skill and time.
Each scarf is a testament to Shakera’s story and her love for design and craftsmanship. Shaku takes the scarf on this journey to create a truly luxurious accessory; an integration of the different, an act that should be treasured.

Royal Ascot Lookbook’
Royal Ascot unveils its first ‘Lookbook’ under new creative director Daniel Fletcher. The fashion designer made history as Royal Ascot’s first ever creative director in its 300+ year history. By Rikki Loftus,
Royal Ascot has unveiled its first Lookbook under fashion designer Daniel Fletcher – the British racing institution’s first ever creative director in more than 300 years.
While still highlighting tailoring, British designer Fletcher – who first rose to fame after dressing Harry Styles – has applied his signature, bold aesthetic to the annual Lookbook. It’s set to help racegoers be inventive in how they source their outfits, to create an inspired look that’s authentic
to their personal style.
Ascot is an important fixture in the fashion stakes – with notable attendees of the prestigious event including King Charles and Queen Camilla. Fletcher has produced five consolidated edits that showcase a range of looks appropriate across all enclosure dress codes.
These include a ‘New Guard’ category, which showcases clothing from independent designers and rising stars in the UK, and ‘The Conscious Edit’, which takes a more sustainable approach
“Fletcher has produced five consolidated edits that showcase a range of looks appropriate across all enclosure dress codes”
and includes pieces from Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.
In 2022, Royal Ascot relaxed their famously strict dress code for the first time due to soaring temperatures, with racegoers being allowed to remove their jackets and ties.
Now, Fletcher is adding an exciting new edge to the event’s style focus.
“This season, I wanted to bring a fresh take on fashion at the races and the magical world of occasion dressing,” said London-based Fletcher, 33.
“Inspiration came from my lifelong fascination with British heritage, and the stylish characters one might find at the racecourse this summer and beyond, whilst also paying homage to the array of styles able to be showcased across each enclosure, as well as my favourite Royal Ascot looks throughout the decades that I discovered during my research delving through the pictorial archives.
“This includes my signature style of building an outfit based on neutrals and my love of tailoring, which I’ve then juxtaposed with more playful maximalist looks that highlight a sense of British sartorial elegance and the glamour of Royal Ascot.
“Be it flamboyant or understated, Royal Ascot gives us the chance to embrace the famous dress codes and dress up, encouraging freedom of
expression through dressing. For 2024, I want to capture that joy and inspire racegoers to push the boundaries with their own unique style, and to embrace their own creativity.”
Originally from the North West of England, Fletcher launched his eponymous menswear label, DANIEL w. FLETCHER in 2015, after graduating from Central Saint Martins and gaining experience with fashion giants including Louis Vuitton, Lanvin and JW Anderson. He soon started getting noticed, especially after Harry Styles began wearing his clothes.
In 2020, he took part in Netflix’s Next In Fashion series, which saw him make it to the final.
Now leading the style helm for Royal Ascot, Alexandra Bertram, brand and creative lead for Ascot Racecourse, said of Fletcher’s first Lookbook edits: “From quintessentially ‘Royal Ascot’ looks that embody our sartorial heritage, through to the playful elegance of vintage dressing and relaxed formalwear, there’s a look that speaks to every style generation across every enclosure.”
HOUSE & GARDEN
– Keep it local for everything house and home –
DOPAMINE DECOR
Gowild. Release yourself. It’s the time. Dopamine décor has ar rived and – as the name suggests – it’s zooming in on using the home to boost the mood. Think of it as one step further from viewing the home as a sanctuary. The home has become a playground.
At its core, dopamine decor is inspired by dopamine, the ‘feel-good’ chemical responsible for pleasure and reward. Integrating its influence into interiors taps into human psychology, and has led to the current boom in interiors created to amplify happiness.
So what does dopamine décor actually look like? There’s adventurous colour, there’s tempting texture, there’s alluring lighting, there’s unusual shape,
“There’s adventurous colour, there’s tempting texture, there’s alluring lighting, there’s unusual shape, but most of all there’s variation”
but most of all there’s variation. What makes us happy is so innately personal, that no two dopamine-dosed rooms will ever look the same. It could be a space full of mismatching furniture, a single powerful statement piece amongst the calm, an unpredicted combination of colours, texture where before there was smooth, moments of design that ignite surprise or a proudly showcased personal collection of objects. It’s design meeting emotion in the most playful and unrestricted way.
LIBERATION FROM LIMITATION
Juxtaposition and contrast are key. ‘Clashing’?
Throw that word out of the window and embrace eclecticism. Sure, not everything that brings you visual bliss coordinates with each other, but so what? The point is it’s beautiful to you, and it’s your home after all – forget about how the rule book says it should look and hone in on how you feel, not how you think you’re meant to feel. Get that dopamine going, decorate with abandon and design a space that’s all the more unique, vibrant and authentic for it.
Identify items that evoke a burst of positivity when you see them. Treat these as the centre of your space, and build up around them, working them into an existing set up – there’s no need to completely redecorate, using a single or few pieces of furniture, lighting, rugs or accessories can be
just as cheerful and effective as creating a whole new look.
YOU DO YOU
The essence of the dopamine decor trend lies in selecting furniture and accents that genuinely bring you joy and reflect you as a person, so each object or aesthetic is imbued with meaning as well as beauty. Spaces should deeply resonate with you, prompting a surge of pleasure, contentment or sheer delight and moving past the way they look on a surface level to forge a connection with the sentiments. Rooms set ups can take inspiration from childhood, objects, art, a treasured collection, fashion, travel or a memory – dig deep into yourself.
LEVEL UP THE JOY FACTOR
Nothing is off the table – your personality is centre stage, and the furniture and objects you surround yourself with should bring a smile at every turn. Perhaps they evoke a joy-filled memory, or perhaps they stir up an emotion, or perhaps their sheer beauty gets your heart beating. Dopamine decorating is not about being subtle –now’s the moment to be daring and introduce any objects, colours or themes that ignite passion and awaken the senses. Don’t hesitate – put it on display in its full glory and cheerful splendour.
BRING ON THE BRILLIANCE
For many of us, colour plays a dominant role in decorating for that hit of happiness. From a rainbow explosion in one space to a gentle smattering of calmer shades, either one colour or a combination of many tends to strike a chord with us on a deep level (that sometimes we
“Nothing is off the table –your personality is centre stage, and the furniture and objects you surround yourself with should bring a smile at every turn”
can’t even explain). As dopamine décor gathers momentum, bright, cheering hues are on the up, with kaleidoscopic spaces filled with vivid, often contrasting colours filling homes with optimism and good vibes. An easy way to get involved? Choose objects individually rather than trying to make sure they all ‘work’ together – don’t worry about that – and organically layer shapes, forms, colours, patterns, or materials to grab attention and lift the spirits, or simply go a bit bolder with the colours you’re naturally drawn to.
BEYOND BRIGHTS
While dopamine’d homes are the antithesis of quiet neutrality, that’s not to say calming, colourless spaces can’t get involved, and if you’re not an every-colour-all-in-one-space type of person, that’s great too. It’s about what brings personal satisfaction. A dash of pigment, texture or interesting material here and there can be just as effective as a space drenched in colours if it rouses your senses. While vibrant, elaborate, high contrast designs often define this style, a minimalist approach can also classify as dopamine decor if it creates a glow of wellbeing and a jolt of joy. chaplins.co.uk

UNLEASH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL WITH ORIGIN
In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on health and wellness, with individuals seeking to incorporate more physical activity into their daily routines. While gyms and outdoor activities offer various options, one activity stands out for its holistic benefits: swimming. Swimming is often touted as one of the best forms of exercise, and for good reason. It’s a low-impact activity that works the entire body, engaging muscles from head to toe without putting stress on joints. Whether you’re doing laps or engaging in water aerobics, the resistance of the water provides a challenging workout that improves strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health. But the benefits of swimming extend far beyond physical fitness. The buoyancy of water makes it an ideal activity for anyone with chronic pain or mobility issues.
It also promotes relaxation and stress relief, with the rhythmic motion of swimming and water moving over the body inducing a meditative state that calms the mind and reduces anxiety.
Some of the key advantages of having an indoor swimming pool linked to your home or in your garden are accessibility and privacy. Unlike public pools, which may have limited hours or require time and travel to get there, a home indoor pool is available whenever you desire.
Additionally, indoor pools offer convenience which encourages consistency in your exercise routine, allowing you to reap the long-term physical and mental health benefits of regular swimming. With an Origin pool, you can tailor the environment to suit your preferences, working with our experts to design the temperature, lighting and ambience you want, creating a social hub for friends and family or a serene oasis that promotes relaxation and wellbeing. Whether you prefer a tranquil morning swim to start your day or a refreshing dip after a stressful day at work, an indoor pool provides a sanctuary where you can escape the pressures of daily life and focus on your health.
For those considering adding an indoor pool to their home, the benefits extend beyond health. Not only can it enhance the value and appeal of your property, but it also provides a long-term investment in your health and wellness. Indoor pools can be seamlessly integrated into existing homes, whether as a standalone structure or an extension that complements your architectural style. Opting for a pool house extension means your indoor pool becomes an integral part of your home, effortlessly weaving swimming and relaxation into your daily routine. On the other hand, a stand-alone pool house can serve as a personal haven nestled in your garden which provides a tranquil escape, undisturbed by the usual hustle and bustle of your home.
Whether you envision a modern, minimalist structure or a more classic and elegant design, your pool house can be tailored to elevate and harmonise with your home and garden’s aesthetic. The health and wellness benefits of swimming are undeniable, and having an indoor pool at home offers a convenient and effective way to incorporate this fantastic activity into your daily lifestyle. From improved physical fitness to enhanced mental well-being, swimming provides a holistic approach to health that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages and abilities. Consider investing in an Origin indoor pool today and discover the transformative power of swimming in the comfort of your own home.

SS/24 Furniture & Homeware
Introducing The Cotswold Company’s Spring/Summer 2024 Furniture & Homeware Collections
Nothing is more cathartic than a home refresh and declutter ahead of Spring. For Spring/Summer 2024, The Cotswold Company welcomes the signs of spring with a beautifully curated collection of practical and elegant furniture and homeware. Whether it’s a bold home refresh or the simple addition of some seasonal updates in calming and natural colours and textures.
Organisation and storage are key in any interior scheme throughout the home, regardless of size. Space is a valuable asset when it comes to family living and that’s where The Cotswold Company’s thoughtful, well-crafted designs come in. From compact larders with adjustable shelves to foldaway desks with secret compartments that help maximise space.
When space is a luxury, the Chester Bootility Unit combines built-to-last practicality without sacrificing style. Perfect for ‘Bootility’ rooms
that combine utility, laundry, and boot space, this multifunctional unit houses a wealth of handy storage for shoes, bags, coats, wellies, and laundry items. With adjustable shelving, a shoe storage bench (equally useful for sitting while putting on and taking off shoes), handy hooks, and a top shelf, this piece of furniture will endure through the years – from a growing family to visiting friends.
Lisa Coppin, Chief Creative Officer at The Cotswold Company, says, ‘The onset of spring is such a key time in getting our homes ready for the year ahead and its many special moments—from celebratory birthday parties and fun-filled school holidays to quiet moments with family at home.
Our homes, if planned and organised well, can support us in so many ways. At The Cotswold Company, we like to think we have listened to our customers and perfected the art of creating beautifully designed, well-crafted, and thoroughly practical pieces that fit into any type of home, whether it be a cottage in the Cotswolds or a modern city dwelling.
‘For spring, we have introduced a collection of great storage, from humble baskets to substantial media units and kitchen larders. We’ve invested significant time in developing and expanding our upholstery ranges, now backed by a 15year guarantee. Crafted in the UK by master upholsterers, our upholstery collections feature sustainably sourced wood frames and provide customers with a choice of over 45 quality fabrics.’
Once the clutter is cleared, invite spring in with fresh and light decorative additions. Add a nod to nature by introducing seasonal finishing touches, such as pastel cushions and jute rugs. Finally, infuse the air with seasonal fragrances featuring notes of lemon and garden blooms to awaken tired corners. cotswoldco.com

Say hello to MamaTerra by Verve, our range of all-natural gardening products designed to support a healthy, balanced ecosystem in every garden.
From Peat-free, soil imporving composts with added beneficial bacteria, to non-synthetic chemical plant feed made with hand harvested seaweed, and more natural ways to control weeds and pests, all of our garden-loving solutions are designed to work with nature-by supporting native microbes, insects and carbon in the soil, helping to enrich it and to make it more fertile.
MamaTerra by Verve is a complete ecosystem of products, with each designed to help meet different needs gardeners face - from preparing your soil to planting, feeding and protecting your plants.
Our products help support increased levels of carbon in the soil, which feeds the beneficial microbes and glues the soil particles together, holding more water and nutrients and reducing the risk of soil erosion.
