1 - Instead of placing furniture – especially sofa’s against a wall, consider that the best layout for a cosy and convivial entertaining space, might be to bring the furniture into the middle of the room, creating an intimate seating arrangement with console tables and sideboards used against the walls with table lamps and candles

2 - If you can see your workstation, it will be a constant reminder of work, so ideally create a home office separate to your main living area. If this isn’t possible, consider bringing in a decorative screen or curtain to make sure you are separating your work life from your home life
