Modesto A. Maidique Campus Program | April 1, 2023 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. ADMITTED STUDENT DAY
YOU’RE HERE! Today is the first day of a whirlwind of activities to get you ready for a successful journey at FIU all of the way through to a degree. Today, you’ll learn more about Orientation, Panther Camp, Freshman Convocation and programs offered by Academic and Student Affairs.
This collaborative journey to build your pathway to success is important to us because at FIU we are a family. FIU students don’t tell people they “go to FIU” they say “I am FIU” and they refer to the university as OUR FIU.
As an admitted student you are taking that first step; we have saved you a seat and our FIU is YOUR FIU.
Collectively your FIU is a solution center for some of the world’s most pressing issues such as: sea-level rise, climate change, health care inequities, and social justice for all. Your FIU is a leader in international relations and politics. Your FIU is a beacon of hope, a university lighting the way for a better tomorrow.
At your FIU, you’ll always be part of something bigger than yourself. Some of the greatest accomplishments in history are marked by the human capacity to push beyond their perceived limits. At your FIU we will challenge you to accomplish what you didn’t think was possible, what will that be?
Welcome to your FIU!
