OUR DEGREES AND PROGRAMS
DOCTOR OF MEDICINE (MD)
A four-year course of study with emphasis on social accountability and research. We prepare you for licensure and postgraduate study in any specialty.
COMBINED MD AND PROFESSIONAL MBA DEGREE IN HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT
This MD/MBA, offered in collaboration with the FIU College of Business, will increase your understanding of U.S. and international health care systems, health care operations and management, and enhance your ability to make complex business decisions—critical skills for the practice and administration of medicine.
COMBINED MD AND MPH DEGREE
Offered in collaboration with the FIU Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, this MD/MPH provides the knowledge to deliver health care on an individual level and the expertise to handle widespread population health and diseases.
COMBINED MD AND MSHIA DEGREE
The Master of Science in Health Informatics and Analytics prepares MD students with digital health training in electronic health record systems, clinical decision support, data visualization and interpretation, and health-related knowledge management. This combined degree is a collaboration with the FIU College of Business.
PHD PROGRAM IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES

MASTER IN PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT STUDIES (MPAS)
This 27-month program prepares you to collaborate with health care teams and provide patient care under the supervision of a physician.
GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN MOLECULAR AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES
A two-semester, 20-credit hour program comprised of basic sciences and professional skills courses that strengthen your application to medical/graduate school or careers in the biomedical field.
*GREEN FAMILY FOUNDATION NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND LEARNING PROGRAM. We strongly believe in social accountability, so starting in your first year you will gain hands-on, home-based experience observing and caring for underserved families. NeighborhoodHELP is a service learning program that assigns medical students to provide care to households in medically underserved communities. You will visit these households over the course of your medical education as part of teams that include FIU nursing, social work, and physician assistant students.

n Apply through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS).
n Fill out HWCOM supplemental application (sent to you after AMCAS verification). Please note that $30 application fee is non-refundable.
