The Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of its kind. We equip students to think about the world in unique ways, generating policy-relevant dialogue and research on the most pressing global issues, including poverty, health and inequality; economic development, sustainability, and resilience; security, foreign policy, and governance, among others. At the Green School, we seek to understand the world we live in and the challenges we face as one human family.

The Green School is a full member of the prestigious Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). We are the first in Florida to achieve full APSIA membership and one of only 25 U.S. and 38 APSIA member schools in the world.

• The Green School is recognized internationally for its work in Latin American studies through our Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center 16 National Resource Centers in the country as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• The FIU Cuba Poll – which has tracked Cuban-American attitudes in South Florida for more than two decades — is the longest running research project measuring CubanAmerican public opinion in the country. Our Cuban Research Institute leading center for academic research on Cuban and Cuban-American issues.
• Cybersecurity@FIU – FIU’s hub for all initiatives and programs involving cybersecurity — is led in part by our Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy national reputation for its cybersecurity education and research.

THE GREEN SCHOOL’S ICONIC WEST WING, SIPA
PHASE II, is set to open in Spring 2023. Designed by famed architect Yann Weymouth, the 85,000-square-foot, five story building will enable the Green School to bring most of its departments and centers under one roof, giving students and faculty more opportunities to connect and collaborate.
