Five Star Properties is making 2016 the year to travel, explore, and experience the Emerald Coast! A dream vacation awaits you in 2016. With the new changes we have made to our luxury vacation rental program, you’ll want to start planning your trip right away. We are excited to unveil the changes we’ve made. First, we expanded your rental options by adding new properties to our distinguished collection of elite homes. Page through the magazine, and you’ll notice many new listings among our collection of beach homes, such as Looking Glass and Ocean Escape. These homes are the finest on the Emerald Coast, and they’re ready for your arrival! Also, be sure to read about the impressive design and gulf view of our cover home Villa Bianca on page 16. Second, we partnered with Xplorie to bring you an amenity program that provides guests free passes every day to the area’s best attractions! Some offers include free golf, boat tours, and kayak rentals. The attractions guests receive passes for are based on the location of their rental. You can learn more about the amenity program and the benefits offered in each location on page 102. With our amenity program and concierge services, we take your gulf coast experience to the next level of fun. Whether you want to have a bonfire on the beach, get married in a gulf-front mansion, or enjoy the best gulf view from a roof top, we will do our best to accommodate every aspect of your 2016 dream vacation. Third, we made our New Year’s resolution to get more involved within the community. We know our guests appreciate doing business with a charitable company, so we’ve made it a mission to launch several community-outreach campaigns during 2016. Still, there are some things that won’t change this year. The emerald-green water of the Gulf of Mexico still washes onto our white-sand beaches. We still can’t take our eyes off the rolling dunes of sand and sea grass gently swaying in the breeze. The warm water of the Gulf still welcomes jumping in, and the Emerald Coast is still our favorite place to vacation. We can’t wait for you to experience the Emerald Coast with us in 2016 — the things that are new, and the things that will always be the same.

Team
The Five Star Team is made up of service-oriented individuals who care first and foremost about the guests who stay with us. Our team is dedicated to providing the Five Star Experience to each guest in every aspect of their stay. That’s why at Five Star you will find excited, energetic, and motivated people in every department carrying out our service values. Our service values include building strong relationships with guests that will last a lifetime. Repeat guests return to our vacation homes year after year because they know the level of service our team provides. Each team member constantly seeks out opportunities to improve the Five Star Experience. By all taking part in the guest experience, we are able to create unique, memorable, and personal experiences for every guest. Our team is headed by President, Josh McLean and President of Operations, Tyler Ashby. Additional managers provide leadership for our marketing, housekeeping, guest relations, owner relations, and maintenance teams. Every individual is valued for the unique skills and talents they bring to the Five Star team. We often refer to each other as the Five Star Family because that is the type of atmosphere you’ll find in our office. A first-hand look into our guest experience.
Making a reservation is easy and gimmick free. When I book with Five Star Properties or Bliss I’m treated with a luxury experience from the very start of my vacation to its very end. It begins with finding the right property and making a reservation. When I visit the easy-to-search website I can find the perfect home for my vacation effortlessly. Their new website categorizes homes by location, capacity, features, and affordability. I don’t have to spend hours searching the internet for a home that will fit my entire family, have a great view of the Gulf, and a private pool—I simply use their categorized search. On the website I can view high-definition videos and photos of every room in the home, including the exterior of the home and neighborhood. They also provide interactive floorplans, so I can see the exact layout of the home before I arrive! If I have any questions about a property, I can use the online chat to talk to a Reservations Agent, or I can call and talk to someone in person. With Five Star, I can be sure that whoever is on the other end of the conversation will be polite and eager to help me with any request. When I’m ready to book, I can make my booking online or over the phone with the reservationist. The reservationist will notify me of any available discounts, current promotions, and available travel insurance that will cover a cancellation of my booking in the case of an emergency.
A personal greeter meets me at the property. It’s so convenient to go straight to my vacation rental rather than a check-in office after a long day of traveling! I’m ready to start my vacation, and Five Star has sent a personal greeter to meet me at the property. Five Star’s greeters meet the guest at the property with a complementary gift bag including a beach bag and water bottles great for the beach! They also bring a fresh baked good from a local baker as a truly warm welcome gift. The greeter introduces me to the home and answers my questions about things like Wi-Fi codes and how to turn on the pool heat.
Take a look at what it’s like to vacation with Five Star from a guest’s perspective! Every guest of ours is guaranteed the same Five Star Experience, but we’ll also personalize each experience to your needs, leaving you with a unique and memorable experience.
My rental is beautiful and filled with luxury amenities. No matter what home I choose to rent, I know it will be beautiful because Five Star’s exclusive rental program only offers the most upscale homes on the coast. Inside, I am equally impressed by the amenities. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, cooking utensils, and cutlery. I’m even able to make my routine morning coffee in the provided coffee pot! The living room is fitted with a flat screen TV and a DVD player, which is perfect for the free DVD rentals I receive as a Five Star guest. In each bathroom I find spa amenities, scented soaps, lotions, and body wash. The towels are individually banded so I can be sure that they’re fresh and clean. The bedrooms have been fluffed before my arrival and the bedding is clean. Five Star’s Fresh Linen Program provides white linens to many of the homes, and the duvets are washed before and after every guest use. The level of sanitization and cleanliness in the home is definitely worth five stars!
I get free passes to local attractions like golf courses and boat tours. Five Star and Bliss guests get access to the VIP Program, which provides free and discounted activities. This keeps my family entertained with plenty of fun things to do in the area. We get one free pass per day for fishing trips, snorkeling trips, boat tours, and the water park Big Kahuna’s. The VIP Program is tailored to the location of your vacation rental and the season that you vacation in. This way, you get free passes to the most applicable activities for your specific vacation! They also gave me free access to their guest portal so I could easily keep track of door codes, my booking information, and billing. Having all the important details in one location made it easy to stay organized. See more about Five Star’s exciting new VIP Program on Page 102!

I have access to in-home concierge services. Five Star’s concierge service is available to provide recommendations for restaurants and attractions, to coordinate special events like spa appointments, reservations for fishing trips, or tee times. As a courtesy, the concierge staff calls me 24 hours after check-in to make sure everything about the home has been to my satisfaction. Just a few of the other in-home services that the concierge staff can provide include massage therapy, grocery delivery, a private chef, and maid service. They can also help arrange other out-of-home activities—such as fishing charters, beach chair service, and beach bonfires—as well as helping with dinner reservations or transportation needs. A paradise to its guests, Villa Bianca delivers the epitome of a luxury living experience. This three story home boasts a multimillion dollar market value. illa Bianca was built in 1998, but went under a full remodel and renovation in 2013. This major rebuilding project took two years, making the home almost unrecognizable from its original construction. A facelift to the front of the home resulted in the ornamental archway leading to the front entrance that is present now. The exterior of the home was also treated with a new roof, new stucco, and new windows. The rebuilding project was led by custom home builder, Philip O’Shea who is known for his highquality construction and imaginative designs. Julie Liebetreu led the remodel of the interior of the home. This interior designer has executed multiple redesign and remodeling projects for custom homes, and she was the lead designer of the complete renovation of the iconic restaurant, Louisiana Lagniappe, in Destin. The full range of her talent is evident in the way she renewed Villa Bianca. For example, she helped with the redesign of the two kitchens in the home. “One key component in the design was the use of the two kitchens,” said Liebetreu. “We were able to move the main kitchen downstairs and used the existing cabinets to help us do an entirely new kitchen in the main level,” she continued. The first kitchen is found on the first floor and features a kitchen island, granite counters, and an elegant backsplash made of pale stones. The main kitchen resides on the second floor of the home and received all new appliances and cabinetry. The cream-colored cabinets are a perfect contrast to the black marble floor, and they are complimented by stainless steel appliances. In this gourmet kitchen you’ll also find an induction stove that heats up instantaneously and provides precise temperature control for serious cooks. Both the first-level and second-level kitchen are marvelously redesigned and provide functionality in addition to impeccable design. Another area of the home that saw dramatic change during the remodeling was the living room. Here, new furniture was added to

modernize the space. A new fireplace and a flat screen TV were added to the room as well. The home owner provided custom artwork to adorn the walls, and the wall tiles surrounding the fireplace were replaced with small stone tiles that created a beautiful mosaic effect. A final highlight of this home’s remodeling is the transformation of the master bedroom. This room went from an ordinary bedroom to a lavish master bedroom that shows off some of the most creative design choices in the entire home.
