Welcome to the 2018 Deuce Golf Season! The Professional Golf Staff has worked diligently to provide a full complement of tournaments and activities while taking into account when the golf course will be in its finest condition. In this Golf Event Guide you will find all the pertinent information for the upcoming golf season including:    

If you are booking through ForeTees, the tee sheet will open at 5:00 AM 10 days out. Each member is allowed to book up to three times in a row. Golf Shop Hours: Golf Shop will open 60 minutes before the first tee time and will stay open until all golfers are off the course. Practice Facility: Practice Facility will open 45 minutes prior to the first tee time and will remain open until 60 minutes before sunset.

Masters Shotgun Saturday, April 7th Time: 7:30am — Breakfast 9:00am — Shotgun Format: Your net score combined with Saturday’s score of any professional at the Masters. Entry Fee: $25 per player plus applicable cart fees will be billed to your account. Entry fee will cover winner’s payouts and breakfast.

Demo Day Saturday, April 14th Time: 10:00 am —1:00 pm Information: Come to The National Practice Facility to try out all the new equipment for 2018 from Titleist, Callaway, Ping, TaylorMade & Mizuno. You will have the opportunity to be professionally custom fit for anything you may need.

Summer Sports Extravaganza Sunday, April15th

Time: 1:00 pm — 3:00 pm Information: Kick off the Junior Athletic Season and take advantage of some great discounts on Golf, Tennis and Swim equipment plus apparel. We will offer free snacks for all juniors. Registration: Please register with The National Golf Shop: 816.741-0634.

Fit Days Time: On selected Saturdays, May through August, dates to be announced. Details: On the designated Saturdays, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, a member of The Deuce staff will be on the range with the latest fitting and demo equipment. Information: Fit Days are your opportunity to try out the latest technology and be professionally custom fit for anything you may need.

Ladies Clinic Time: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm or 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at The National Dates: Ladies clinics are held Tuesday evenings:  May: 15th & 22nd  June: 12th, & 26th  July: 10th, & 24th  August: 7th, & 28th Entry Fee: $30 per session Information: A great way to learn the game of golf in an unintimidating setting with other ladies. Fee includes golf, awards & dinner. Night Golf will be $115 per couple. Food & Beverage: Dinner will be provided for all participants in The Deuce Grill after the conclusion of play. Cinco De Mayo Shotgun Saturday, May 5th Time: 7:30 am — Breakfast 9:00 am — Shotgun Format: Members make their own 4-somes. All players play their own ball with 2 best balls of 4 count for score. Entry Fee: $25 per player plus applicable cart fees will be billed to your account. Entry fee will cover winner’s payouts and breakfast. Guests pay $50 guest fee plus cart.

Wedge Clinic Thursday, May 24th – Callaway Tuesday, June 12th — Titleist Time: 5:00 pm — 7:00 pm Cost: $200 per student which includes a two hour short game clinic and a FREE custom fit wedge. Information: Learn how to utilize all of the wedges in your bag while being professionally fit.

Windbrooker Automatic Bid Friday, May 11th Time: 5:30pm Shotgun Cost: Free Event

Format: Two-Person Best Ball with your Windbrooker partner. Teams will play from the black tees. Anyone over the age of 60 may play from the purple tees. 80% of the player’s 9-hole Handicap applies. Prizes: The winner of the event will receive an automatic bid into the Windbrooker horserace. Information: Sign-up for the Windbrooker will be following the golf event. Defending Champions: Chris Roberts and Jeff Szala won the 2017 automatic Bid into the horserace.

Format: Round Robin Partners Match Play Entry Fee: $600 per team to include three days of golf, cart, tee gift, two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, beverages, prizes and much more. Additional $100 Fee for Practice Round Prizes. Registration: Begins May 11th at 7:00 pm in The Deuce Grill following the golf event. No entries will be accepted prior to this date. Fourth of July Shotgun Tuesday, July 4th Time: 7:30am — Breakfast 9:00am — Shotgun Format: Individual Gross & Net (Men’s & Ladies’); Individual Gross & Net Skins (Men’s & Ladies’); and 5 Closest to the Pins Pairings: All members are able to make their own pairings and groups. You must notify the Golf Shop of all pairings before July 2nd. Guests: Guests are welcome to play at $17.76 + $25 entry fee plus applicable cart fees. Entry Fee: $25 per person plus applicable cart fees. Breakfast is also included. Prizes: All Gross and Net skins will be rewarded with Golf Shop credit.

Watson Cup Saturday, July 14th & Sunday, July 15th Venues: Saturday: 8:30am — The National (Alternate Shot) Saturday: 1:30pm – The Deuce (Better Ball) Sunday: 8:30am – Loch Lloyd (Singles) Format: One round of two-man team Alternate Shot Team Play at The National; a second round of Match Play at The Deuce; and a final round of Individual Match Play at Loch Lloyd. Teams: Each Team will have players in the following categories: 2 Golf Professionals; 6 Scratch; 4 Net; 4 Senior Net. Entry Fee: $125 which covers golf, carts, 2 Team shirts and a hat. Day 1 includes Breakfast, Lunch, Hors d’ Oeuvres and beer. Day 2 includes Breakfast and Lunch. Qualifying: Winners of the 2017 Club Championships, the 2017 Member/ member and the 2018 Winner of The Windbrooker are all Pre-Qualified. Qualifying dates for remaining Spots will be Announced.

The Huber Shev 3200 ROI Open Friday, July 20th — Sunday, July 22nd Friday: 5:30 pm – Round 1 7:30 pm — Hors d ’Oeuvres Saturday: 8:00-8:50 am — Breakfast 9:00 AM to1:30 PM – Round 2-3 Lunch will follow the 3rd Round Sunday: 8:00-8:50 am — Breakfast 9:00 am to 1:30 pm – Round 4-5 Lunch will follow 5th Round 2:00 pm – Member/Member Horserace Format: Five 9-Hole rounds, each with a different Format: Best Ball, Shamble, Scramble, Alternate Shot and Stableford. Divisions: All teams will be split into divisions according to team handicap. Entry Fee: $125 per player to include 45 holes of golf, Tournament gift, cart fee, food & beverage and prizes. Ages: Any Juniors between the ages of 8-17 Entry Fee: $200 per Junior Information: Our popular Wednesday morning program is back and better than ever! Boys and girls will be grouped together in teams and will spend one hour at the Practice Facility and one hour on the golf course each session. Junior Elite Team Dates:

Practice: Eight Tuesday mornings between June 5th & July 24th from 11:00 am to12:00 pm

Matches: The Junior Team will represent and compete in the Junior Kansas City Cup throughout the summer. Ages: Competitive Juniors 15 & Under Entry Fee: $400 per Junior Information: The National Junior Elite Team is a great way to introduce your child to competitive golf. We will meet on Tuesday mornings for practice and will also have multiple matches against other clubs. Each team member will also receive two (60 minute) private lessons. Register: Sign up at the Summer Sports Extravaganza on April 15th.

Session II July 3rd, July 10th, July 17th and July 24th Ages: Any Junior between the ages of 4-7 Cost: $75 per Junior Information: The Little Linksters is available for junior golfers from the ages of 4 to 7 years old and is a great introduction to the game of golf. This program is geared to be FUN and will utilize the SNAGÂŽ system of golf to teach solid fundamentals and etiquette. Two sessions are offered with classes meeting each Tuesday for 45 minutes. Register: Sign up at the Summer Sports Extravaganza on April 15th.
