On behalf of the Golf Professional Staff at The Country Club at Loch Lloyd, I would like to extend our best wishes to you and your families for a blessed holiday season. Thank you for your continued support of the Club in making the 2021 season a success!! As a reminder, there will be two hole locations on each of our greens throughout the winter. This is done to help spread out foot traffic on our greens during the winter months when changing hole locations on a daily basis is not possible. With this, we ask that once your group holes out on a particular hole, you place the flag in the alternate hole location. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation. We hope you have taken advantage of the beautiful weather we have received this fall. The course has been plentiful with golf including multiple days with more than 100 rounds on the tee sheet. Between our normal routine of course set-up, we have accomplished various projects throughout the course that are summarized below.
KAFKA PROJECTS
The team completed four Kafka (crushed rock) projects the past two weeks: 1. We widened the Kafka path by 1 foot from #4 green to #5 tees. This will allow pull/push GRANT SUDERMAN cart access through the path. SUPERINTENDENT 2. A Kafka path was added to grants@lochlloyd.com #9 Dormie hole from the cart path to the green surround. 3. A Kafka path was created to #11 alternate men’s tee from the cart path. This new path will limit erosion and give added foot traction to the tee. Follow the GCM 4. Lastly, a Kafka path was team on Twitter! added to the end of #15 Please check bridge leading to the green us out at @LochLloydGCM surround. This area has been sodded multiple times with no long-term success.
#11 Kafka path to men’s tee
BUNKER EDGING
Edging of all Tom Watson Signature Design bunkers back to the original bunker liner has been completed. Over time, many edges have become overgrown. With a focus on more frequent edging, we expect to keep our bunkers at this level going forward.
#13 BRIDGE
The walk bridge on hole #13 has been widened to allow pull/push cart access. This simple change adds to the golf experience with greater accessibility to the hole. I hope you enjoy these changes as we strive to provide each and every member with a great golf course experience. Please feel free to reach out with any feedback.

They proudly offered the proceeds of $41,260 to the Cristo Rey High School for their Scholastic Scholars Fund, providing tuition scholarships to students so they may attend this college preparatory school. Cristo Rey High School was chosen because we believe in their mission and they are committed to changing the lives of their students through the pursuit of higher education. Although cold weather may cause you to want to curl up and hibernate for the next few months, I urge you to keep moving. Research shows that exercise can help keep away those winter blues and help improve your mood by releasing serotonin and dopamine … the “feel-good” endorphins. Consistent exercise (whether it’s a brisk walk around the neighborhood or a class at the Fitness Center) boosts your immune system, gives you more energy and helps you sleep better, too!
LANCE DARLING FITNESS CENTER DIRECTOR
Another great way to keep feeling your best during the winter months is with a relaxing, revitalizing massage. The Club’s Massage Therapist, Carrie McConville, offers a wide variety of massage services with convenient in-home massages available. See Carrie’s rates at the bottom of this page and contact her at 816.489.5294 to schedule your appointment.
Hours of Operation
As many of you already know, we have cancelled Nicole Tweedie’s Sculpt Fitness Classes, effective immediately. Nicole is moving out of state due to her husband’s recent job promotion and relocation. It has been a pleasure working with Nicole. She wanted to let our members know how much she enjoyed teaching at The Country Club at Loch Lloyd and appreciated the opportunity to meet many of you.
Safety Protocols
As a reminder, the Fitness Center follows the Belton School District closure policy for inclement weather. If the Belton School District does not have school, the Fitness Center will not have classes on that day.
