GOLF NEWS Dear Members, I can confidently say that this golf season has been the fastest for myself and our Professional Golf Staff. It seems just like yesterday when we had three snowy Sundays in a row in April. As we turn the page to our off season, please remember that the last day to post scores on GHIN will be Wednesday, November 14th. If you travel outside of the Midwest on vacation, you are still able to post those scores. Also, any outstanding Golf Shop credit must be redeemed by Sunday, December 30th. Congratulations to Deuce member Sandy Weidt who had a hole-in-one on September 30th on Hole #6, set at the ladies’ tee of 111 yards, using an 8 iron. This was her first Ace! Thank you all again for a great 2018. We hope you and your families have a great holiday season.

2017
We would be honored if you joined us on Sunday, November 11th for the 15th Annual Veterans Day Scramble at The National Golf Club. We celebrate this opportunity to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country proudly throughout the years and those who are currently fighting for our freedom all over the world. National and Deuce members and their guests may sign up to participate in this time-honored event. We’ll pair two members or a member/ guest pair with two of our invited military guests. The cost for the event is $125+ per person and will include golf, carts, lunch, participant gifts and dinner. The fee helps the Club offset expenses and underwrite the costs for our invited military guests, who pay nothing to participate. If you are unable to play in the Scramble but would like to contribute to help underwrite the costs of this event, we would be most grateful for your support. Proceeds from the event will be donated to a charitable organization. If you would like to contribute, please email Nic Ingram at nicholasi@thenationalgolfclub.com with your donation amount and we’ll charge it to your member account. This year we’re also offering a limited number of seats for members who aren’t able to play in the event but who would like to attend the celebratory dinner. The charge for dinner is $40++ per person with your reservations made through the Concierge at 816.746.0200 or by email to: concierge@thenationalgolfclub.com. Please mark your calendar for this moving and ceremonial event! If you would like to register, please contact Nic Ingram, Director of Golf at 816.741.0634 or nicholasi@thenationalgolfclub.com.

3rd Annual Off-Season Golf Program for Deuce Golf Members
Practice and top-of-the-line equipment can improve your game, but unless your mechanical and physical issues are identified and corrected, lowering your handicap can be extremely difficult. The greatest investment a golfer can make in improving how they play is in their own body. Improving the physical mechanics of the golf swing requires a team approach between the golf professional, the fitness professional and the golfer. Our Off-Season Golf Program is rooted in the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) philosophy that improving the physical capability of the golfer is the key to unlocking the golfer’s potential.
CHAMPION PACKAGE
