The Country Club at Loch Lloyd Golf Course Maintenance Update Jeff Steen CGCS Director of Golf Course Maintenance

Dear Members, I wanted to send out a quick update following our aeration application to the golf course to keep everyone abreast of the happenings on the property. We were able to get all of the tees, approaches and greens completed throughout the golf courses. The entire process went smoothly as the equipment ran well and the weather cooperated. Most importantly, the team did a fantastic job working long hours to complete the process in a timely and efficient manner. It will not be long until the surfaces are back true to form. Along with aeration, we are working with the Viridity construction team to improve a few bunker surrounds. You will notice on holes #7, #8, #10 and #18 a bunker surround stripped of its sod about to be re-grassed in Zoysia. As you’ll notice in one of the pictures to follow, the cool season grass struggled to survive late in the season, whereas the warm season Zoysia thrived. Our intent is to provide a consistent playing surface throughout the entire golfing season. Lastly, we have repaired a few of the rock waterfalls adjacent to the fairway on hole #17. Winter weather and recent rain caused some minor damage, which created a few erosion issues. This will be put back together shortly. Thank you for your patience as we continue to ramp up for the golfing season. The course remains very wet in many isolated areas and therefore the carts must remain on paths. We have a lot going on and the team is diligently making it all happen. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to discuss. 1
