Dear Members, There’s nothing better than looking out onto the 18th green to see … well, GREEN! I don’t want to jinx us but I’m hoping that the cold weather we’ve experienced this spring has gone for good. I cannot wait to see the trees full of leaves, see the course full of golfers and hear the kids playing in the Pool! We are always excited to welcome our busy season because we get to see more and more members using the Club and enjoying the Pool and Tennis Courts. This year we’ll be breaking in our new Pickleball and Basketball Courts, too. Be sure to check out our Tennis and Pickleball programs on page 19 of this newsletter. We’re kicking off summer with some exciting events including our Annual Spring Fling on May 18th and Pool Parties, Cookouts and Couples Golf to celebrate the Memorial Day Weekend. Read all about these events inside this newsletter and please plan to join us! Hope to see you around the Club soon!

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Spencer Roberts Director of Golf Course Maintenance

Dear Members, The Golf Course Maintenance Team had a very productive April. We completed multiple small projects and turf grass cultural practices. One of our on-course objectives for this season is to eradicate unwanted turf grass species in all turf grass areas. You will notice multiple areas throughout the property where sod in the rough has been removed and replaced with new fescue grass. The turnaround time from when we prep an area to when we lay sod is usually only four days. If you experience a lie in an area prepped for sod, please play these areas as Ground Under Repair. May is one of my favorite months to be out on the golf course. Everything is in bloom and playing conditions are at a premium. I look forward to seeing many of you on the course as well. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Spencer Roberts Director of Golf Course Maintenance spencer@fivestarlifestyles.com

We have witnessed some interesting weather the past month and I doubt any of us will be sorry to say goodbye to April! As we look ahead to a busy summer, we want to keep you updated regarding staffing and “behind-the-scenes” activity that has taken place at your Club the past several months.

This month we’re proud to feature these Twenty Rows wines by the bottle:

John Geiger

Executive Director Food & Beverage

We have interviewed and hired most of our seasonal staff and will begin training early this month. Our new training program has been developed with one central focus: to provide you with exceptional, consistent service as we exceed your expectations. You may be interested to know that both new and seasoned staff members will be attending our training program to ensure the high quality of service and attention to detail that is so essential in the Club environment. In addition to a few new faces this summer, you’ll probably notice new uniforms, new activities for the kids and a few new procedures, particularly with regard to Snack Bar service at the Pool. We’re excited about the changes that are taking place at your Club and are eager to hear your input and feedback. As always, we thank you for your support. John Geiger Executive Director of Food & Beverage johng@fivestarlifestyles.com

Chardonnay $32++ A balance of flavors and textures, this Napa Valley Chardonnay has hints of tropical fruit and vanilla. Aged in 10% new French oak, notes of pineapple and ripe citrus are complemented with a touch of toast on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon $32++ The nose displays aromas of bright black cherries, followed by dusty cocoa and roasting coffee beans. Dense texture and a fine sense of balance enhance the flavors of blackberry, currants, vanilla bean and dark chocolate. Pinot Noir $32++ This Pinot Noir highlights the red fruit and sweet spice that makes Pinot Noir from Sonoma County and Carneros famous. A hint of earth complements the cherry, cranberry and raspberry notes that linger over the palate.

Kids develop motor skills and strengthen physical ability while having fun and learning teamwork and leadership skills. Students are encouraged to sign up for at least two days per week to ensure proper development. We’ll work 30 minutes on skills and 30 minutes on instructional match play.
