Golf Course Conditions May 30th, 2019 I hope everyone was safe Tuesday evening when the severe storm passed through the area. Mother Nature showed her strength and how destructive she can be. As the storm quickly passed through, the golf course received another 2.5 inches of rain, making our total rainfall for the month of May just over 16 inches. Due to the saturated conditions and the high water levels in the creeks and lake, the course did experience flood damage. The holes impacted the most were #1, #9, #13, #17 and #18. Below, I have provided photos of some of the damage that occurred.
Bunkers full of silt and debris on #1
Flooding on #9
#1 approach and fairway covered in silt
Left greenside bunker #13
Right greenside bunker #13 full of mud
Damage to the bunker #17
Debris from the creek rising out of the bank #18
The team cleaning debris and silt #13
We are blessed the tornado that formed Tuesday stayed south of Parkville and we will definitely be keeping everyone who experienced devastating damage and loss in our thoughts. The team will work extremely hard to get everything put back together and cleaned up on the property as fast as possible. The GCM team appreciates your support and patience as we get through another obstacle created by Mother Nature. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
