Dear Members, It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Whether you’re spending time with family in front of the fireplace, traveling to warmer destinations or simply watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, the holiday season means many different things to each of us. With 2018 coming to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful year of support. This year saw a record number of new members join the Club, due in large part to our members being steadfast ambassadors of the Club. I Steve Shrawder Club President hope you continue to use and support the Club throughout the holiday season by attending some of the many social events planned during the month of December. We are thankful to have a supportive ownership group and passionate associates who work tirelessly to enhance your personal Club experience with our sights set on making The National Golf Club the very best club in Kansas City. GOLF NEWS Dear Members, I can confidently say that this golf season has been the fastest for myself and our Professional Golf Staff. It seems just like yesterday when we had three snowy April Sundays in a row. As we turn the page to our off-season, please remember that handicap posting season has ended. If you travel outside of the Midwest on vacation, you are still able to post those scores. Also, any outstanding Golf Shop credit must be redeemed by Sunday, December 30th. To keep your skills honed during the winter months, the Indoor Practice Facility in the Cart Barn will open starting Tuesday, December 4th with hours from 9a-4p, Tuesday through Sunday. No reservations are required and the facility is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you all for a great 2018. We hope you and your families have a great holiday season.

3rd Annual Off-Season Golf Program at The National Golf Club

Practice and top-of-the-line equipment can improve your game, but unless your mechanical and physical issues are identified and corrected, lowering your handicap can be extremely difficult. The greatest investment a golfer can make in improving how they play is in their own body. Improving the physical mechanics of the golf swing requires a team approach between the golf professional, the fitness professional and the golfer. Our Off-Season Golf Program is rooted in the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) philosophy that improving the physical capability of the golfer is the key to unlocking the golfer’s potential.
