Denver was cast as the underdogs and all the pontificators were bashing Tim Tebow. Just a little background. Tebow came into the league through Pittsburgh and this year after a shaky start for Denver was made starting quarterback for the team. Tebow believes in himself because he knows who his Father is. He knows his Father can and does do the impossible. The drama that played out on the field was intense, but the 11 seconds in overtime not only drove the believers to ecstacy, it set a new record. Tebow never counted himself out! When you are in your practice and see one thing after another go bad, what do you do? Do you count yourself out? Yogi Berra (I love Yogi-isms) said "It ain't over till its over." Do yourself a mental check and find out why things seem to be going wrong. A medical practice is a complicated operation getting more complicated by the day. No single provider or multi-provider practice can make it without outside experts. Medical billing is a case in point. Neither has the resources to keep up the way a competent medical billing company can. You spend just as much time, money and energy training and maintaining the billers in your office as an entire medical billing company spends on its staff and yet you are only one practice while the billing company will service dozens of practices. In addition, in the billing company, when a billing issue arises they have other billers to take their problems to and get help in getting them resolved. Your office has no one! The results mean you have higher writeoffs than the professional billing company next door. Your staff costs, software costs, clearing house costs, supply costs far outweigh the cost of outsourcing. And let's get something straight if you think 8% to outsource is high you are mistaken. You already pay far more than that and it is being hidden from you. The small practice costs are buried in unpaid claims and expensive software. The multi-practice costs are buried in those same unpaid claims and a bureaucracy and overhead that you do not even realize. You wind up with multiple billers who then have to answer to some department head all burning money while the have commiserate with one another about how their weekend went or their husband did, so on and so on. The reality of life is

that for every person in an office there is a conversion factor of interruptions. It is the square of the number of people in the office. If you have one person in an office you will have one interruption per hour. If you have two billers in an office, you will have four interruptions per hour, three will equal nine interruptions per hour and so on. The works languishes while the interruptions continue. Since 1996 I have seen practices underperforming by at least 30%. We have never taken over a practice that the net revenues did not go up! The Wynn Group, Inc was founded by Nat Wynn in 1996 dedicated to helping physicians with medical billing and practice management by allowing them to focus on their patient while The Wynn Group focused on making sure each and every claim got paid.
