Work Experience in Architecture MARK DZIEWULSKI ARCHITECT | Designer I San Francisco, California (2014- 2015) While at the office of Mark Dziewulski I have been involved in the following projects: - MDZ Venice Biennale Exhibition (Venice, Italy) - Garden Park Apartments (Sacramento, California) - Sacramento Kings Arena (Sacramento California) in association with AECOM offices of San Francisco, CA and Kansas City, MO. As a Designer, responsibilities have been included the preparation of conceptual and schematic design phase materials, as well as design development and construction document deliverables. Also, the development of exhibition layouts; presentation images; construction document revisions; preparation of site surveys; review of material samples; code research; preparation of material and product specifications; and coordination with associate architects, consultants, contractors and vendors.

STORE Q LLC | Junior Architect Miami, Florida (2013- 2014, 2015) Store Q LLC focuses in providing architectural services for high end retail brands such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Tiffany and Company, Dolce and Gabbana, Burberry and Cartier. While with the company, I was involved in the following projects: - Tiffany and Co. (Bogota, Colombia) - Christian Dior Men (Waikiki, Hawaii) - Christian Dior Women (Miami, Florida) - Christian Dior Men (Miami, Florida) - Christian Dior Men (New York, New York) As a Junior Architect, responsibilities included the production and coordination of construction documents; preparation and distribution of bidding documents; preparation of site surveys; review of material samples; review and approval of shop drawings; building code research; completion of punch lists; and coordination with landlords, associate architects, consultants, contractors and vendors. Additionally, participated in visits to millwork shops for review of production facilities and capabilities.


UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA | Graduate Teaching Assistant Gainesville, Florida (2011-2013) As an Graduate Teaching Assistant I was responsible for assisting in the preparation of lesson plans, the giving of lectures, preparation of homework assignments and/or lab projects, running the lab section of the courses, grading, and providing general assistance to students both inside and outside of the classroom with any design or course related topics. Moreover, participated as a jury member/guest critic in various design critiques and presentations throughout the undergraduate level.

PLANETARY ONE | Architectural Intern New York, New York (2011) Member of a design team responsible for the concept and design development of the Super Docking project envisioned for the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Day to day duties included but were not limited to building of physical models, preparation of conceptual and design drawings, giving presentations, as well as participating in general design meetings and discussions with team members, project leaders, studio heads and visiting architects and designers.

Additional Work Experience GAINESVILLE HEALTH AND FITNESS CENTER | Floor Instructor Gainesville, Florida (2010) In charge of placing members on exercise equipment, in addition to providing form corrections, motivation and assistance during workout. Also, teaching new exercises as well as communicating fitness concepts in topics ranging from cardiovascular health, joint flexibility and muscular and skeletal strength to nutritional information. Finally, providing feedback and notes on present and past performance, as well as assigning or altering the members’ routines and regiments if necessary in order to promote the maximum amount of gains. ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH CO. | Brand Representative/ Overnight Team/ Impact Team Miami, Florida (2004-2009) Responsible for maintenance of store visual standards, providing excellent customer service, monitoring and management of fitting rooms, and operation of the checkout counter and cash register. Also, during overnight hours, responsible for the general reorganization of sales floor, as well as preparations and store modifications for upcoming updates of store floor sets and general visual standards for the upcoming seasons. Finally, responsible for the organization and general management of store stock room, merchandise placement, and store inventory. SAA REAL MADRID MIAMI | Soccer Coach Miami, Florida (2007-2009) Responsible for planning practices, organizing games, and general team travel. Furthermore, during summer camps, providing assistance to visiting coaches from Spain with the players during their practices and providing them with transportation and accommodation during their visit. MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC SCHOOLS – FELIX VARELA HS | Assistant Volleyball Coach Miami, Florida (2004-2007) Responsible for planning practices, organizing games, and team travel both for in city games and out of city games. Furthermore, responsible for organizing home court tournaments, setting up concession stands and managing use of school facilities and athletic equipment.

SOARCH STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM University of Florida – Vicenza Institute of Architecture (VIA), Vicenza, Veneto, Italy (2009 - 2012) The UF Vicenza Institute of Architecture (VIA) is based in Vicenza, Italy, a major center of the Veneto (the mainland region around the urban archipelago of Venice). The program focuses on evaluating and understanding the historical, social, cultural and physical aspects of this particularly rich urban context through research, documentation and design.

SOARCH STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM Preservation Institute: Caribbean, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (2012) The Preservation Institute: Caribbean, is dedicated to conserving the ecological and cultural heritage of the Greater Caribbean Basin through education, research and service projects. The principal aim of the PI: C program is to study the influence of geography, culture and climate on place making in tropical and subtropical landscapes such as Florida, Mexico and the Caribbean. PROJECTION WORKSHOP Pescara: Metro-Borghi, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy (2009) The Pescara Metro-Borghi workshop was a three-day charrette organized to be an international collaboration between universities from Italy, Slovenia and the United States. The workshop was geared towards the analyzing, rethinking, preservation and revival of two decaying sectors of the city of Pescara. The first of the three days saw the participants being separated into small teams of four to five students, which were then assigned one of the two sites to begin their analysis. Next, day two was aimed at the development of a concept that could be further elaborated and projected as a concrete set of ideas. Finally, day three focused on the organization and presentation of the final urban projections. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Miami, Florida (2009) Volunteers are responsible for assisting the organization with any aspect of the home building process. ARCHITRAVE MAGAZINE UF SoARCH Publication (2008) Members of the organization worked together with other school of architecture students creating page layouts, debating graphic representations ideas and writing articles for publications of architrave magazine issues. The organization required the collection of a wide range of student projects from all design levels as well as information about events surrounding the UF SoArch for literal and visual representation and publication. The main purpose of Architrave magazine and the meetings between the organization was to create a magazine issue that represented the current design identity of the UF SoArch.
