FRED JONES JR. MUSEUM OF ART The Univer sit y of Oklahoma’s Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Ar t is one of the finest universit y ar t museums in the United States. Strengths of the nearly 16,000-object permanent collection (including the approx. 3,300-object Eugene B. Adkins Collection and the more than 4,000 object James T. Bialac Native American Art Collection) are the Weitzenhoffer Collection of French Impressionism, 20th centur y American painting and sculpture, traditional and contemporary Native American art, art of the Southwest, ceramics, photography, contemporary art, Asian art and graphics from the 16th century to the present. Temporary exhibitions are mounted throughout the year which explore the art of various periods and cultures.
The museum’s extraordinary collection includes major works by some of the most beloved artists of all time, such as Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Pierre Renoir, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keef fe, Ansel Adams, Allan Houser, Nicolai Fechin, Leon Gaspard and others.
Since 2005, the museum has expanded with the Lester Wing and the Stuart Wing. These expansions were necessary to house the museum’s many growing collections. Today, the total museum exhibition space is approximately 40,000 square feet. Fred Jones Jr, Museum of Art

FRED JONES JR. MUSEUM OF ART Admission Admission is always FREE, thanks to the generous support of the OU Office of the President and the OU Athletics Department! Group tours are available by calling (405) 325-5990 at least two weeks in advance. Hours Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Monday and university holidays. Muse - The Museum Store Located just within the front doors of the museum is a wonderful store which houses a vast array of gift items for any or no occasion at all! Catalogues, children’s toys and other unique items related to art and the museum’s collection ensure that each visit is both memorable and rewarding. We invite you to visit the store during the museum’s regular operating hours. Direction / Parking To reach the museum from I-35, take Norman exit 109 to Main St. east toward downtown. Turn right on University Blvd. and right again on Boyd St. The Museum is located at 555 Elm Ave., on the southeast corner of Boyd St. and Elm Ave. The University of Oklahoma offers two great parking lots for FJJMA visitors! When available, take advantage of the FREE parking lot to the north of the museum on Boyd Street. Also, the Elm Avenue Parking Facility offers metered parking on the ramp between the first and second floor for only $1 per hour.
