Introduction

This book theme is about tropical rain forest, it is not only just one theme of tropical rain forest , but it is all the living things from the tropical rain forest, for example like tropical fruits, flowers or plants and animals. so i inspired from all of the tropical rain forest living things and transform it on to my typography with different kinds in each algebra and each typo has it’s meaning.

Acai Berry

The acai berry is a 2.5cm-long reddish, purple fruit. It comes from the acai palm tree (Euterpe oleracea), which is native to Central and South America. It is a relative of the blueberry, cranberry and other dark purple fruit. Acai fruit pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries.

Banana

Banana is one of the high calorie, tropical fruits. 100 grams of fruit carry 90 calories. It contains good amount of health benefiting anti-oxidants, minerals, and vitamins. Bananas contain around 75% water. A row of bananas is sometimes called a ‘hand’, while a single banana is called a ‘finger’.

Cautleya

Cautleya is a small genus of perennial plants of the family Zingiberaceae (the ginger family), found in the eastern Himalayas through to China and Vietnam.It consists of two species of high-altitude tropical and temperate exotic jungle gingers. Cautleya plant has lance-shaped, shiny green leaves on reed-like stems.

Dragon Fruit

Dragon fruit is the fruit of several cactus species indigenous to the Ameicas. the dragon fruit is praised for its appetizing crunchy texture and refreshing, sweet flavor which is like a cross between kiwi and pear.

Etlingera Flower

The showy pink flowers are used in decorative arrangements, while the flower buds are an important ingredient in the Nonya dish laksa. In North Sumatra, the flower buds are used for a dish called arsik ikan mas. It is known in Indonesian as bunga kecombrang or honje, Malay as bunga kantan and Thai as daalaa.

Flamingo Flower

The botanical name for flamingo flower is anthurium, which comes from the Greek anthos, meaning flower, and oura, meaning tail. Native to the wet, tropical rain forests of Central and South America, flamingo plant grows best in moist, humid low-light conditions.

Golden Shower Flower

Golden Shower is widely grown as an ornamental plant in tropical and subtropical areas. It blooms in late spring. It will grow well in dry climates. This is native to South Asia and in tropical and subtropical countries. It is a popular ornamental plant and is also used in herbal medicine.

Honeydew

Honeydew is the American name for the white Antibes, a variety of melon that was cultivated in southern France and Algeria centuries ago. Though typically the flesh of a honeydew melon is green, it can sometimes be orange. This specific type of honeydew is often referred to as the “temptation melon.�

Ice Blue Calathea

This one is primarily known for it’s stunning ice blue flowers that look like an ice cream cone. Usually grown in the shade with a rich, moist, organic soil, but it will take some sun, especially in tropical regions. This ornamental garden plant is native to Brazil.

Jaguar

The Jaguar is the largest cat on the American continent. Jaguars are closely related to Leopards and have a number of similar characteristics including the distinctive spotted pattern on their fur. The Jaguar is the third biggest Cat in the world behind the Tiger and the Lion and is well known for it’s immense power and agility.

Known in ancient China as Yang Tao, the kiwi fruit earned its way in that culture not just for its flavor, but also its medicinal properties, which science has today substantiated in numerous areas. in the US in the late 1960s, kiwi was first called “Chinese gooseberry�.

Larkspur Flower

Larkspur is an old-fashioned annual flower grown for its tall spires in shades of pink, lavender, white, rose, red, yellow, blue, purple. These flowers make an excellent backdrop to flowerbeds as they grow 1 to 4 feet high, depending on the variety. They also make an impressive cut flower.

Mona Lavender

Mona Lavender is a vigorous, upright, rounded, bushy perennial that typically grows to 2’ tall and as wide. It is the largest South African genus of plants belonging to the mint family (Lamiaceae).

Nectarine

Nectarine (Prunus persica) smooth-skinned peach of the family Rosaceae that is grown throughout the warmer temperate regions of both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The nectarine was most likely domesticated in China more than 4,000 years ago, and nectarine and peach trees are virtually indistinguishable.

Orange

Oranges are widely grown in warm climates worldwide, and the flavors of oranges vary from sweet to sour. The fruit is commonly peeled and eaten fresh, or squeezed for its juice. It has a thick bitter rind that is usually discarded, but can be processed into animal feed by removing water, using pressure and heat.

Philippines Ground Orchid Flower

This naturalized ornamental garden plant is native to Southeast Asia. The flowers have 5, oval-shaped, pink, purple, or white tepals (2 side petals and 3 petal-like sepals) and a similarly colored, spade-shaped labellum.

Quince belongs to the same family as apples and pears; its shape is similar to a pear, but larger. It has lumpy yellow skin and hard flesh that is quite bitter so shouldn’t be eaten raw. When fully ripe, the quince has a wonderful perfume. Native to Asia Minor

Rambutan is native to tropical Southeast Asia and commonly grown throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Rambutan is adapted to warm tropical climates. The name ‘rambutan’ is derived from the Malay-Indonesian languages word for rambut or “hair”, In Vietnam, it is called chôm chôm.

Snail Vine

The Snail Vine, Vigna caracalla, is native to South America. The Snail vine thrives on any hot exposed site, in clay or loam soil and even on quite alkaline sites. The flowers are white-coloured as they unfurl, turning lilac as they blossom out into little snail-shaped blooms. As they age and fall, they turn cream-coloured. The flowers are quite fragrant and are mostly pollinated by ants.

Turtle

Sea turtles are one of the Earth’s most ancient creatures. The seven species that can be found today have been around for 110 million years, since the time of the dinosaurs. The sea turtle’s shell, or “carapace” is streamlined for swimming through the water. Sea turtles cannot retract their legs and head into their shells. Their color varies between yellow, greenish and black depending on the species.

Uvaria Rufa Flower

Uvaria rufa is a species of vines or shrubs commonly known as Susung-kalabaw. It grows naturally in Cambodia, Thailand, New Guinea, Philippines, more widely in Malesia and in Cape York Peninsula Australia. The fruits of Uvaria rufa are edible, having a sharp sweet-sour taste.

Vanilla

Vanilla is the only fruit-bearing orchid out of the hundreds of orchid species. “Vanilla” has become a synonym for “plain” or “boring”, but this is utterly unfair to this exotic and finicky plant. Native to Central and South America, vanilla was treasured as both a foodstuff and as currency.

Watermelon

It is a vine-like flowering plant originally from southern Africa. It is grown for its edible fruit, which is a special kind of berry botanically called a pepo. The fruit has a smooth hard rind, usually green with dark green stripes or yellow spots, and a juicy, sweet interior flesh, usually deep red to pink, but sometimes orange, yellow, or white, with many seeds.

Xenops Bird

These small birds live in tropical rain forest in Mexico, Central America and South America. The birds forage for ants and other insects on bark, rotting stumps, branches or bare twigs. They are about 125 mm (5 in) long and have a longish tail, brown back and a buff or rufous wing stripe.

Yellow Ginger Flower

Native to China, India and Nepal, yellow ginger is a perennial plant with large leaves and fragrant yellow flowers. Yellow ginger can out-compete native plants and is a major weed in a number of countries, including New Zealand and Hawaii. The flowers have a delightful, powerful fragrance that perfumes the air. The flowers don’t last very long as cut flowers, but their scent is wonderful.

Zebrafish

Danio rerio commonly known as the Zebrafish is a tropical fish belonging to the minnow family (Cyprinidae), commonly kept in aquaria and used for scientific research and was the first vertebrate to be cloned. The zebrafish is a special animal to biologists because its body is transparent. Native to the Himalayan region, it is a popular aquarium fish, frequently sold under the trade name zebra danio.
