• Pollard Hall opened for the fall 2014 semester. The 18,600 squarefoot academic complex includes nine classrooms, five offices, a television studio, and multiple common areas. • U.S. News & World Report ranked Flagler College 8th among Best Regional Colleges in the South and also named Flagler as one of the most efficient schools in its category. • The Princeton Review listed Flagler College in its “The Best 379 Colleges” college guide, a publication that lists only 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges. • A multi-million dollar restoration project was begun on the exterior of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, made possible in part to a $2 million grant from the state legislature and matching non-tuition funds from the College. • A new major in criminology was launched in the fall semester in response to student demand for the discipline. • Flagler College graphic design students won 13 awards in the regional American Advertising Federation “ADDY” awards, which honor outstanding professional and student work in design and advertising. • The Peach Belt Conference awarded Flagler its fifth consecutive “Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award” for the 2014-15 season. The award is given annually to the institution displaying the best overall sportsmanship. • Flagler College Professor of Religion, Dr. Timothy J. Johnson, was awarded the prestigious Dresden Senior Fellowship in the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences of the Technische Universität, University of Dresden.
