Every year on Veterans Day, Flagship honors the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The holiday commemorates the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when an armistice was declared between the Allied Nations and Germany to end World War I.

Celebrated in many countries as Armistice Day the following year, November 11 became a federal holiday in the U.S. in 1938. Following World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became known as Veterans Day

Every year on Veterans Day, Flagship, honors and celebrates the brave men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces. The holiday commemorates the end of World War I and was originally known as Armistice Day, but after World War II and the Korean War it became known as Veterans Day. Flagship is proud to employ and engage veterans across the organization and has partnered with more than 10 veterans' organizations to do so. It has also recently launched a Veterans Employee Resource Group to provide support, networking, and mentorship for veterans. During Veterans Month, Flagship will be showing appreciation for veterans and military families, and all veteran employees will receive a pin and lanyard as a token of appreciation. Flagship will also be donating to Mission 22, a non-profit organization that provides support to veterans and their families, for every story shared by an employee about their military journey or that of a close family member.
