In fact, Women in Facilities Management – the only professional organization in the US focused solely on the advancement of women in facilities management – cites a recent study that found that men still outnumber women in facilities management leadership roles by an astounding nine to one. Fortunately, this trend is slowly changing. Like so many other industries, facilities management is experiencing a shortage of workforce talent, which has opened the door for women to fill more roles – both in leadership and in the field.
