Flagship is a company that offers career opportunities in facilities maintenance. It launched a trade school partnership program 6 months ago, which has grown to include 33 partner institutions and reach hundreds of students. It aims to build relationships with students at participating schools and match them with career opportunities at client sites across the US. Trade schools provide hands-on training for specific skilled trades, such as mechanics, electricians, and HVAC technicians. There's a shortage of skilled trade workers due to factors like the retirement of Baby Boomers and the belief that a 4-year degree is the only option. Flagship has established partnerships with trade schools that align with its hiring needs and has hired 5 people as a result of the program. It plans to expand the program and launch a paid internship program next year to train interns in general building maintenance.
