It lies in a tunnel 27 kilometres in circumference, as deep as 175 metres beneath the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva, Switzerland. The film takes a tour of the countryside under which the LHC ring is laid, in order to gain perspectives from those who inhabit the local surroundings.
Johannes Vleugels loved the sea, being the captain of a cargo ship that sailed the whole wide world. But a mysterious event in Africa during the seventies would change his life forever. Back home, the seaman refused to speak about it, leaving his loved ones with ever haunting questions since then.
