hospital, Hakan fights nightmares that haunt him every night. With the gentle help from nurse Ayla, he slowly recovers from his posttraumatic stress disorder. Rewarded with a medal of honour, he is finally discharged. Back to his normal life in an empty flat, memories of a lost family flood his heart. Leon Broucke jumps overboard from his fishing boat in front of his eldest son, Jean. The old man slips into a deep coma, leaving his son with a huge debt and responsibility for the family business. The absence of his father sets off an aftershock of conflicts between him and his two brothers: Francis is torn between his family and leaving with his secret lover, while William returns home to escape his life of crime and redeem himself. Desperate to build a future for his eight-year-old son, Jean turns to his brother’s criminal past. Cargo is a story about how desperation can bring a family to the edge of destruction.

CHARLIE AND HANNAH’S GRAND NIGHT OUT
ORIGINAL TITLE / CHARLIE EN HANNAH GAAN UIT
Hannah, two girls in their mid-twenties are strolling through the city. Charlie is witty, inaccessible and - in her own words fundamentally dialectic. Hannah is chatty, neurotic, always hungry, and always in love. Things take an unexpected turn when one of the girls takes magic candy that makes body parts talk, pineapples fly and through which a trip to another galaxy becomes the easiest thing in the world. An absurd comedy about love and relationships flirting with references to classic cinema and set in magical scenarios, like a drunken Friday night out.
