Flea Palmer
Flea is a Learning Technologist at Plymouth University. Having graduated in digital art & technology in 2000, she has 11 years experience developing pedagogically-informed resources using a range of software, for both web and print. She works as part of a centrally-based team of six who research, raise awareness and support initiatives in Technology Enhanced Learning, and regularly contributes to the University's TEL Newsletter. Flea is also a qualified teacher and runs workshops for both staff and students around web design and a range of learning technologies. She was awarded a Teaching Fellowship in 2008 to research using Web 2.0 technologies for self-promotion and now runs workshops for students and graduates in collaboration with the University's Careers Team. Research interests include: web 2.0 technologies digital identity and self-promotion interactive, animated storytelling immersive virtual environments
