ITINERARY DAY 1 – Arrival in Delhi
Arriving in DelhiO, you’ll be met by your Akorn representative at the airport, who will take you to your hotel. You’ll be checked in at the Oberoi Gurgaon (hotel check-in is 14:00).
DAY 2 – Delhi
On your first real day in India you will go on a Tour of Old Delhi – Visit Jama Mosque, rickshaw ride through the old city, visit Khari Baoli spice market, drive past Red Fort. On the afternoon you will go on a Tour of New Delhi – Visit Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and drive past the President’s Palace.
DAY 3 – Delhi to Udaipur
Today we’re boarding a scheduled flight to Udaipur (11:20am / 12:30pm). Again you’ll be met by an Akorn representative at the airport, who will escort you to your hotel The Oberoi Udaivilas. In the evening we’ll be cruising the beautiful Lake Pichola and watch the sunset.
DAY 4 – Udaipur
This morning we’re going to tour Udaipur, the former capital of the Mewar Kingdom. We’ll be seeing the City Palace, the Ctrystal Gallery and the beautiful Jagdish Temple. The afternoon is free for you to explore. Optional: A walking tour around old city of Udaipur.
DAY 5 – Udaipur to Jaipur
We spend the morning of day 5 on a scheduled flight from Udaipur to Jaipur (09:50am / 10:45am). An Akorn representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to The Oberoi Rajvilas. In the afternoon we’ll be visiting the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and then have a photo-stop at the Hawa Mahal, before going on a rickshaw ride through the bazaar in Old Jaipur
DAY 6 - Jaipur
We’ll start the morning in a way you’ve probably never started it before. We’re going to explore the beautiful Amber Fort, and you’ll have the opportunity to travel to the destination on the back of an elephant. The afternoon is free for you to do whatever you want. Optional: Evening visit Dera Amer to enjoy sunset elephant ride followed by Farm dinner.
DAY 7 – Jaipur to Agra
Today we’re going to drive from Jaipur to Agra, which will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes Optional: Visit the deserted Mughal capital city, Fatehpur Sikri, on way to Agra. After checking in at The Oberoi Amarvilas, you can roam through the afternoon at your own leisure. Optional: Sunset visit to the Taj Mahal.
DAY 8 – Agra
Day 8 on our journey will be spent on exploring the sights of Agra. We’ll start by visiting the monumental Taj Mahal, before moving on to see the Agra Fort & Baby Taj, or the charming Mehtaab Bagh garden on the other side of the Yamuna River. We’ll also be visiting Mother Teresa’s home. The afternoon is free for you to explore Agra further or just relax in the hotel.
DAY 9 – Agra to Delhi
We say our goodbyes to beautiful Agra today and embark on a drive to Delhi (which takes approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival we’ll be checking in at The Oberoi, Gurgaon.
DAY 10 – Leave Delhi
We say our goodbyes to beautiful India and head for the international airport. As you board your flight home, you can relive your past 10 days in your memory. We guarantee you that everything you have seen here will stay in your mind for a lifetime. PLEASE NOTE - Taj Mahal is closed to visitor on Fridays - Elephant ride to Amber Fort is subject to availability of elephants. We fly from Delhi to Chandigarh on a scheduled flight (11:15am / 12:35pm). An Akorn representative will meet you upon arrival and drive you to Shimla – a journey that will take approximately 4.5 hours. Here you’ll be checked in at the Wildflower Hall.
DAY 11 – Shimla
Today you can spend the day exactly how you want it. Why not visit the hotel’s own spa facilities? You can choose between yoga, Ayurvedic treatments or relaxing massages, set among the surrounding greenery and the opulence of the hotel.
DAY 12 – Shimla
Again you’re free to choose your own activity. The city of Shimla offers plenty of viewing platforms and hikes to nearby peaks, from where you can see if you can spot the road to the fabled city of Shangri-La.
DAY 13 – Shimla to Chandigarh to Delhi
We leave the wonders of Shimla behind and drive back to Chandigarh for a connecting scheduled flight to Delhi (16:10pm / 17:15pm). An Akorn representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the International airport for the onward connection flight.
