per person For centuries the Douro River served as a busy waterway for cargo and people being carried to Porto. The traditional Rabelo boats were a constant feature on the river that winds its way through northern Portugal and into the Atlantic Ocean.

This tour will take you from the Afurada to the Marina do Freixo aboard an authentic Rabelo. Learn more about the history of the region and take in the stunning scenery as you drift slowly down river. Along the way you’ll pass green hills, vineyards and quaint towns as well as the 6 famous bridges that connect Porto to Gaia, including the iconic Luis I bridge.
