Venice ITALY
Built on a cluster of small flat islands, most visitors to Venice head to the heart of the old city, the San Marco Basilica, which rises above the famous square, and the adjacent Doge’s Palace. For a panoramic view of the city, cross the water by boat to the small island of San Giorgio Maggiore, where you can climb the bell tower. You can also see another side of the city by visiting Murano Island, which for centuries has been famous for Venetian glassware. On the way back, stop by the small artificial island of
San Michele in Isola, which has served as Venice’s cemetery for 200 years and is the resting place of many artists and musicians. No trip to Venice is complete without a trip along the canals on one of the iconic gondolas, and when you step off the narrow boat, after having passed Ca’ d’Oro and swept under the Rialto Bridge, you will find no shortage of places for a romantic dinner. Venetians, like the rest of the country, are passionate about food, and like every other Italian region, they have their own
specialities, of which they are fiercely proud. Naturally, the Veneto cuisine evolves around seafood, and dishes like baccala mantecato (Venetian fish tapas) and risotto al nero di seppia (black risotto) should be on any foodie’s checklist. The local springtime delicacy of moleche (small green crabs) is also a delicious treat that should be sampled here.
Hotel LaGare Venezia MGallery by Sofitel VENICE When visiting Venice, why settle for anything less than a hotel that places you on one of the main islands of this famous city? From the Murano Grand Canal, main sights such as the San Marco Square, Doge’s Palace and even the San Michele Cemetery are only a few stops away. The island of Murano is fa-
mous for its glassware, and the hotel building was once part of this sweltering industry. As a tribute to its rich heritage, the exterior walls of the property have maintained the style of the old furnace and it stands like a red gem on the island’s embankment, welcoming you back after a busy day of exploring Venice.
Inside, you’ll find a host of luxurious facilities and amenities ready for you to indulge in. Take a few hours to spoil yourself in the spa center, where a sauna, a Turkish bath, relaxing showers and a gym awaits. The hotel also features a permanent exhibition of sculptures and paintings, and you can treat yourself to a gourmet dinner in gorgeous surroundings at the hotel’s restaurant. The Rivalonga Restaurant serves up a delectable range of modern takes on local dishes, and set against the dark wooden tones and the modern dÊcor, this is the perfect scene for a romantic dinner. When the evening begins to darken and the sun sets over the glistening water and redtiled roofs of Venice, the bar invites you to enjoy the views of the surrounding city, while toasting to a day well spent.
Stay in a Deluxe Room Spanning 31 square meters, a Deluxe Room at the LaGare Hotel Venezia is luxuriously decorated in soft neutral tones with glamourous gold splashes. Elegant and spacious, your room will feature a free mini bar, a slim LED Full HD TV, comfortable armchairs, air conditioning, and a modern bathroom with a bath or large shower.

ROME ITALY
Rome is a treasure trove of masterpieces. From cultural gems to great paintings and sculptures, as well as ambitious modern architecture mixed with classical palazzos and villas - this is a city which has it all and is more than happy to flaunt it. Visits to the Colosseum, the Forum Romanum as well as the Pantheon should be on the top of any visitor’s list. Off the main tourist track, you’ll find places like the Roman houses under the Church of St John and St Paul, as well as
the Via Appia, boasting numerous beautiful ruins along its path. Similarly, a visit to Rome should not be without a trip to The Vatican City. Gaze at the truly breathtaking Basilica of St Peter and the Sistine Chapel with its world-famous painted ceilings. See if you can spot the Pope from the Square of St Peter. Around the Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, you’ll find plenty of luxurious boutiques and delightful cafÊs
where you can grab a cup of Italian coffee, between shopping endeavors. For a green escape, head to the Villa Borghese: a quaint park with lots of trees, ruins and of course the actual Villa Borghese. In the western end of the park, you can look out across the city from the Pincian Hill.
Cardinal Hotel St. Peter ROME Located in a quiet part of the Italian capital just south of the Vatican City, the Cardinal Rome St Peter lets you enjoy both the stunning sights of Rome as well as the serenity of one of its greener areas. Start your morning in the hotel’s elegant restaurant, where an American buffet breakfast awaits you, and
then spend the rest of the day exploring the Eternal City. St. Peter’s Square and many stunning buildings that form the Vatican are only a few minutes’ walk along Via Gregorio VII, while nearby transport links invite you to explore the wider reaches of the Italian capital. After a day of Roman adventures, you can re-
turn to your stylish hotel, where you can relax in the sun or take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool, before moving on to the restaurant for a traditional Italian dinner. As the evening darkens the cityscape around you, head to the rooftop bar, where you can take in views of the lit-up dome of St Peter’s Basilica, along with a glass of crisp Italian wine.
Stay in a Superior Double Room Measuring 25 square meters, your Superior Double Room is located on one of the top floors of the hotel, providing the height for a great view. Here, a warm red and cream colour scheme will add an air of indulgence to your stay, and the theme of luxury continues through to the spacious en suite bathroom. You’ll have all the amenities for a comfortable stay, including air-conditioning/ heating, mini bar, satellite plasma display TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities.
