Ischia ITALY The largest of the islands in the Gulf of Naples, Ischia rises, out of the blue Tyrrhenian Sea like a rugged yet peaceful giant. from Naples, you’ll notice the Castello Aragonese, which towers over the cobalt sea and is only connected to the rest of the island by a narrow paved walkway. With over 1,500 years to its name, it has been used both as a fortification and a convent. Today, Ischia offers stunning beaches and
clear waters for swimming and various water sports, as well as the opportunity to explore charming little villages and captivating nature further inland. The island is home to numerous thermal springs and mud spas. From the coastal town of Sant’ Angelo, you can trek up the steps of the hillside overlooking the
bay, to find the ancient Roman baths of Cavascura. Hollowed out by the rock, visitors can enjoy therapeutic treatments here, as well as saunas, mud baths and showers.

Half Board Your stay at the Aragona Palace is on a half-board basis, which means daily breakfast and dinner is taken care of. You can enjoy a buffet breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant which serves up delicious regional specialties, to give you a taste of traditional Italian cuisine while in Ischia. Please note drinks aren’t included in your package and come at an additional charge.
Spa A special place dedicated to rejuvenation and relaxation, the spa at the Aragona Palace Hotel will amaze you with its excellent range of modern facilities. An indoor thermomineral pool heated to 40°C is a great place to start unwinding, but you should also make a visit to the Jacuzzi, solarium, Hammam and outdoor pool. The picture-perfect island of Ischia would have visitors descending on it regardless of what attractions it has, but in danger of spoiling those who holiday here, it has a host of fascinating sights to see too.
Castello Aragonese First built in 474 BC, the majority of this awe-inspiring castle was completed in the 15th century. Wander up the looping paths and take in the lush gardens, before finally arriving at the best viewpoints at its peak. The castle grounds have a number of quaint terrace cafés and interesting historical reference points to learn about.
Baia di Sorgeto Warm thermal waters and a secluded beach make this a favourite place for people to visit. It can be reached by a 300 step descent from the village of Panza, or by water taxi from Sant’Angelo.
Michelangelo’s Tower Positioned right next to the sea in Ischia Ponte, Michelangelo’s Tower stages exhibitions from international artists both inside and out. The tower was named so because it was believed to be a residence of Renaissance artist Michelangelo, and its enviable location looks right out onto the sea and Castello Aragonese.
