Your TRIP This magical Portuguese adventure will take you through the highlights of Lisbon and Porto, two beautiful regions that have so much to offer. You will fly to Lisbon before picking up your hire car at the airport. You will then journey to Lisbon’s Neya Lisboa Hotel for a 1-night stay in a Standard Room with breakfast. Next, drive roughly three hours to Porto where you will enjoy a further 3-night stay at Hotel Cristal Porto in a Standard Room with daily breakfast. You will then drive back to Lisbon for one final night spent at Neya Lisboa Hotel. After breakfast, you will return your car to the airport before flying home.
LISBON Full of signature yellow trams and belle ĂŠpoque-inspired architecture, the pastel-coloured houses and cobbled quaintness of Lisbon are immediately welcoming as you set foot in the city for the first time. A city as diverse as it is beautiful, Lisbon also houses several streets, which are more recognisable
in a wholly contemporary city, where art, fashionable shops and delightful restaurants populate the streets. Along the banks of the Tagus, visitors can see how times gone by and the present beautifully complement each other in the city. From the stunning UNESCO Heritage-listed Jeronimos Monastery and
the Belem Tower to the longest bridge in Europe, the sleek Vasco da Gama Bridge. Trawl through quaint markets like Feira da Ladra and the Mercado da Ribeira next to the Cais do Sodre station, before strolling up and down the narrow streets of the Bairro Alto and Alfama areas. Here you can check out the Lisbon Cathedral
and entertain a fair bit of shopping in the linear and old-fashioned Baixa Pombalina-area. In Alfama, you can enjoy some freshly caught seafood and a glass of wine, while being entertained by a rendition of a traditional fado – Lisbon’s iconic romantic music.

TAGUS RIVER The mighty Tagus River flows from Spain’s rural interior, through the green valleys of central Portugal and into the Atlantic Ocean by the feet of Lisbon. The longest river in the Iberian Peninsula, its estuary is beautifully complemented by the red-roofed renaissance architecture of the Portuguese capital. The river’s embankments are located just 100 metres from the hotel’s front door –an ideal place for an evening stroll as the sun sets on the Atlantic horizon.
CHIADO Situated less than 500 metres from the hotel, the area known as the Chiado is one of the oldest parts of Lisbon. Having been a key feature of the city since its Roman days, the square is today home to a multitude of shops and cafés, all located in old pastel-coloured buildings. COMERCIO SQUARE The Comercio Square (just 200 metres from the hotel by the banks of the River Tagus) is surrounded by beautiful renaissance buildings that all tell a story of when Portuguese sailors and merchants would traverse the waves in pursuit of riches and adventures. The Lisbon Story Centre –located next to the square, is a great place to spend a few hours to learn more about the nation’s colourful history.

PORTO Hotel Cristal Porto offers an unbeatable location in the centre of Porto, just one kilometre from the main hub of Avenida dos Aliados. Here you’ll find some amazing architecture, great views, and a selection of quaint cafés. Alternatively, you can take a five-minute stroll to the
lovely Church of Lapa – a historically crucial church that holds the urn of Dom Pedro IV. The visually stunning Dom Luis I Bridge connects the two distinct parts of Porto together and this striking feature serves as a perfect starting point for a full exploration of the city. The historical core
of the city has been listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site and you can witness this in all its glory at the SĂŠ Cathedral and Bolso Palace that stand at each corner of the centre. Head north, past the Torre dos Clerigos, to one of the oldest bookshops in the world, the Lello and Irmao. With
finely carved ceilings and a beautiful wooden staircase, the shop is like a time capsule. For a quirky architectural site, head to the Casa da Musica - this abstract concert hall is home to predominantly classical performances.
