Beaches A four kilometre stretch of golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear water will undoubtedly have you flocking to the nearest shoreline – even easier with the free shuttle service operated by the hotel to Falesia Beach. A wide range of water sports and tours can also be organised via the hotel, so enquire at reception in resort.
Nature Alternatively, Ria Formosa Nature Park is a reserve recently voted one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal. The unique habitat is home to over 20,000 bird species, the Portuguese water dog, and other rare species such as chameleons and seahorses. This is also the perfect place to go flamingo spotting.
Cycling Keen cyclists will discover plenty of cycling lanes around Vilamoura, and nature paths to explore by bike, 118 in fact. With a range of flat, hilly, uphill and downhill routes, there are a number suitable for all skill levels. Bikes can be rented from the reception at an additional cost.
Golfing Boasting some of the most scenic routes in the whole country, the Vilamoura golf scene is thriving. There are a number of course all around the area, and a discount can even be achieved when booking through reception.
