In today’s global climate, it is ambitious people like you who will make a difference in the world, transforming businesses, changing the lives of those in need and building better communities for all people.
On and off campus, we are dedicated to not only fostering your ambitions but also ensuring a comfortable transition to life in Canada. When you arrive at FCT, you will be welcomed into an inclusive environment that values all students, all cultures and prioritizes wellness.
Our approach to wellness starts with providing an extensive range of mental health resources and services, including access to counsellors in your preferred language and from your own cultural background. We also ensure that you have support with academics, immigration, accessibility and your search for work opportunities.
Since opening the campus in the Fall of 2022, I have witnessed countless students grow into global citizens and develop talents that will have an impact both locally and on the world stage. I, for one, cannot wait to see you join them.
We acknowledge that the land that Fleming College Toronto is on is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
Fleming College Toronto has settled on this land and recognizes the importance of respecting the voices and history of all Indigenous communities. This territory is within the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee, the Anishnaabe and allied nations to share and care for the regions around the Great Lakes. We are grateful to work on this land.
About the Mural:
Created by the Indigenous artist Tehatsistahawi, this mural adorns the wall outside the library in the main campus, reminding us of Indigenous culture and the interconnectedness of the local community. The right side represents students. The left side portrays the three clans of the Onyota’aka, one of the nations that Tehatsistahawi belongs to. Bold black lines connect both sides, a representation of the relations among the greater community.
