HOUSEPLANT OF THE MONTH FOR JUNE
IN & OUT PLANTS
COMMITMENT-FREE PLANTS June is the month of rugged, easy to live with plants, a must-have for every man cave. Commitment Free Plants instantly show that the guy in question is caring enough to keep something green alive and can help in improving your level of concentration. The plant on the right is a Calathea ‘Network’. Calatheas are native to the tropical rainforests of South America, where they can grow up to several meters high. The name Calathea is derived from the Greek word ‘Kalathos’ meaning basket. In Greece, the leaves of this plant are still used for roofing and weaving baskets. This is your ultimate green companion for dudes.
This picture features a Campanula, one of the few plants that merges indoors and outdoors making the garden into a second home. Simply re-pot the plant once it has finished flowering and put it outside. Campanulas have an incredibly long flowering time and are available in different colours, which are great selling points to consumers. We chose a purple variety. Purple is perfect for the Tenderall collection and is the ultimate spring colour. Start your In & Out joy now with Campanulas.

Carnations stand for:
FLOWER OF THE MONTH
passion, desire & romance FLOWER OF THE MONTH FOR MAY CARNATIONS Carnations stand for: passion, desire & romance. The Latin name for carnation is Dianthus, which is derived from the words Dios (God) and anthos (flower). This makes the carnation a divine flower! Carnations look wonderful in every bouquet, fits any style of interior and are available in many different shades, such as purple, pink, yellow, peach… the list is endless.
FLOWER OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL PEONIES Summer hasn’t truly started until you have bought home the first bunch of peonies. These beautiful flowers look stunning in mixed bouquets but even better on their own. Peonies have different meanings in different cultures. In China, they represent royalty and dignity. Their Chinese name means: ‘the most beautiful one’. Whereas in the Western world, peonies aren’t considered ‘the most beautiful one’ at all. The flower symbolises shame as per a myth from ancient Greece. It’s time to give the peony a new meaning. We think that the symbol for romance and beauty in all forms will appeal to many.

Earth & Simplicity The goal of this edition’s collections is to bring summer into the house and we can’t start early enough. The warm colour palette of the ‘Earth & Simplicity’ collection will thaw every heart. The burgundy and pink flowers form an elegant contrast to the earthy coloured sundries. This colour combination is a sight for sore eyes, expressive without being loud. This collection is aimed to slowly yet steadily merge outdoors and indoors. Different materials are used to create a statement style. If you are more into country, simply replace some of the containers with polished pots and vases. Make sure to keep it simple! It’s this specific combination of colours and textures that brings balance into the whole scheme.

MAY THE MONTH OF EMERALD
PANTONE 344
Emerald activates the heart chakra and encourages love, inspiration, sincerity, honesty and positivity. The birthstone also symbolises the joy of life, the feeling of unity and therefore has a positive effect on relations and friendships. Giving flowers has the same effect as the powers of emeralds. So the next time a customer is thinking of giving a beautiful bouquet or an emerald necklace, you can confidently say that the message to the recipient is the same but that flowers will allow him to surprise his love much more often!
