'At this year's BUDMA, we were looking for manufacturers of doors, windows and roof coverings. We found some really interesting offers, we made new contacts and we will definitely continue to make use of them.' (Vent Aer Dniepr LLC, Ukraine) Traditionally, BUDMA is a venue for the presentation of numerous market premieres prepared by manufacturers especially for the Fair. It is worth paying particular attention to those new products that have gained recognition from experts and received Poland's most recognisable innovation award - the MTP Group Gold Medal. From among the products submitted for the award, the Competition Jury selected 26 winners. These include technological solutions distinguished by the care for environmental aspects, surprising functionality and unique design. 6 BUDMA exhibitors who in the most spectacular way reconciled their stand vision with their company's marketing strategy were awarded the Acanthus Aureus award.
'The Poznań construction industry fair - one of the most important events in the sector - is the time for market premieres and gaining new business contacts, which determines further dynamic development.' The jubilee, 30th BUDMA Fair was very successful for Drutex - thousands of visitors appreciated the presented offer, and they had numerous questions about it. In addition, we are very pleased
that our stand, full of new products on the market, was awarded the ACANTHUS AUREUS statuette.' (Zbigniew Bartosiewicz, Commercial Director of DRUTEX S.A.)
The four days of the Fair were a time for business meetings, sharing experience, networking, but also discussions about the challenges for the construction industry, also in the context of social change and caring for the environment. In a dynamically changing environment, it is extremely important to have up-to-date knowledge of the current legal regulations and technical aspects of the construction industry. That is why the conference part of BUDMA is so important as well.

A special place in the BUDMA programme was occupied by the two-day D&A Design and Architecture Forum. The theme of the Forum was "OdNowa" (ReNEWal) as a new look at buildings, districts, cities. The invited guests discussed the concern for friendly construction and functional planning which accompanies responsible architects who seek inspiration also in existing buildings and boldly reach for new solutions while respecting tradition. Prominent architects, sociologists, local government officials and architecture researchers, such as Jerzy Szczepanik-Dzikowski with Marek Moskal of JEMS Architekci Studio, Hubert Trammer - a well-known participant in the European Bauhaus Round Table, and Jakub Szczęsny - the creator of e.g.. the famous Keret House in Warsaw, took part in the discussions about space without building, revitalisation or renovation of the existing urban fabric, public utility areas, cities and their districts. In this year's competition, students of architecture and secondary school students struggled with the topic of "The Old in a New Way. A Different Perspective on Architecture". The main prize went to Marta Ruselik from the Poznań University of Technology.
As in the previous editions, one could not miss interactive demonstrations, workshops and training sessions for professionals. Numerous workshops, demonstrations, training sessions and master exams prepared by the Polish Association of Roofers and the Polish Association of Parquet Layers gathered dozens of participants and crowds of spectators. From the very first day of the Fair, one could see the best young roofers "in action" - they presented their extraordinary skills during the finals of the first Inter-School Trade Competition "Junior Roofing Master". As part of the promotion of parquet flooring and education in the "parquet layer" profession, one could also see the struggle of vocational school students during the examination for a journeyman diploma.
