Dear Sorors,
I am seeking the position of BasileusElect so that I can prepare myself for the role of Basileus of the Omicron Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® in January of 2027. It has always been an honor and a privilege to serve my community alongside an awesome group of professional like-minded ladies whom I consider my sisters. I have been a member of OLQ for over 15 years. During my OLQ tenure, I have served on various committees, helped plan numerous events, and attended countless chapter and sorority programs and initiatives. My leadership skills were affirmed in my recent role as 2nd Anti-Basileus as I was charged with overseeing all of our standing and adhoc committees in the years of 2021 – 2022.
Although all of my leadership roles in OLQ were rewarding, my proudest moments were chairing our 2023 Pearls of Pride and Promise Cotillion and working tirelessly with the Fall 2021 Membership Intake Process to bring in the “68 Persevering Pearls”.
If elected to the position of Basileus-Elect, I plan to work side by side with our incoming Basileus, Soror Marjorie Parker and her administrative team to bring an inclusive moral to our chapter where all members feel that their input is valid and valued.
